He says in todays RP that today will decide which he goes for AP but the money is balanced more in the favour of the Champ Chase. Obviously I hope he goes for that one…

Good performance, but Voy Por Ustedes giving 13 pounds away is a big ask.

Get them on a level playing field in March and i think Voy Por Ustedes will beat Master Minded.

Awesome performance- some horse. Will still need to defy history to win the Champion Chase- I’ll still be opposing him, but well done!

Vor por only gave him 6lbs today and to be fair MM easily beat him by more than that, Voy Por was never let into that race. Dominated him from start to finish, and if he goes from the front like that in the champ chase then the end hill should suit him more than voy por, looking at that

I suppose you wouldn’t know how right King had his horse but it’s still an excellent performance on paper.

Could we now have another Kauto Star V Denman to look forward to.

Twist Magic and Master Minder will probably be joint favs by the end of todays racing. Wonder what price Ruby Riding the winner as he surely will?

I thought that Master Minded had the race won from three out and his jumping was quite impressive but he has had problems before and he’ll have the notorious 2nd last to jump at Cheltenham.

He is now trading at 7/2 on BF and congrats to Bulwark for getting the value on this horse.

Just looking at the CC betting, quite a few are making him 5/2 jf for the champ chase but William Hill are again going shorter at 2/1 outright favorite. Either they are just limiting damages or they stand to take a considerable hit if this one wins, they were the only firm going 7-1 before the race.

Wonder if I should wait a week and lay off my bet :)

It was a decent performance from Master Minded today, but I can’t help feeling that Voy Por Ustedes might just be better suited by Cheltenham. He was running on again toward the end of today’s race, as he was at Sandown behind Twist Magic, and the stamina that the Champion Chase will draw upon might just give today’s runner-up the edge.

Having said that I still don’t fancy him to overturn Tingle Creek form with Twist Magic, and the 3/1 with Ladbrokes now looks particularly inviting.

Only saving grace is that if Master Mind proves to be really special. If he could win the race at 5yo he could become a real champion and rule for a few years to come…..Voy has his knockers and in th eyes of many is one of the worst winners in memory. The door is wide open for MM and Twist Magic but there is a massive doubt about him after a terrble performance last time out.

Without TM I would have to agree with TC doesn’t look remotely like a good QM.

You say it’s shaping up to be an appalling 2m division for a couple of years TC, but let’s not forget Twist Magic would have went very close in a QM at the age of just FIVE, but for falling. The horse is still only SIX year old.

Master Minded, at the age of just FIVE, has just beaten the current QM Champion, arguably by more than the 6lb concession should have allowed him to.

Let’s also not forget that both the above two horses have already achieved far more than Moscow Flyer did at the same age. Yes MF got better and better with age and was outstanding – but surely then that’s an indication that Twist Magic and Master Minded could well do the same and be outstanding two milers for years to come also.

Equally possible is the fact that they might regress and the 2m division could well be poor for years to come – nobody knows at this stage.

Just my opinion, but i find Tamarinblue v Master Minded v Voy Por Estedes v Twist Magic a lot better and more interesting than Moscow Flyer v Well Chief v Azertyuiop

Former is 4 good horses going into battle, latter was one exceptional horse and two good horses going into battle

You’d rather find the better of 4 good horses than the better of 3 very good/exceptional horses???

Yes, i like fairly competitive races – you don’t need to put in much work in to find the Moscow Flyers, Kauto Stars, Denmans etc do you
