Maria’s benefit’s form is getting franked from a few places over last few weeks. This might just be one that willie doesn’t have an answer to for a change

Setback at xmas must have re-occurred and they’re struggling.
Laurina looked very good in a decent race yesterday. Jumped a little wayward too so improvement still possible…question mark perhaps over the ground as she hasnt faced spring ground yet..

I’m on Countister here at a good price (win only), think she has a decent chance to be honest.
Looks up against it i thought ben, although nicky was positive on her, she already had a stone to find with marias nevermind laurina, 11/4 without laurina for marias loons quite appealing.
She won as she liked 2 starts back and maybe the ground was too soft for her at Sandown last time out when looking a lucky winner. She’ll get a better pace and better ground at Cheltenham which is what she wants.
Not saying she should be a 2/1 shot, but I’m hopeful of getting a run for my money at 20/1.
Certainly ben i wouldnt be complaining with 20/1, nicky has always seemed upbeat about her and you may be correct regarding the ground, field is still likely to cut up a little with the likes of salsaretta etc who look likely to come out.
The front two look quite strong though!
I can’t be having this favourite at odds on. She’s won a couple of awful contests in Ireland and is now a stupid price. The price is more because Willie likes her and sends a good one to this. But at odds on, I’ll take the proven top class young mare from our side of the Irish Sea.
Maria’s Benefit beat Dame Rose, Dusky Legend and Irish Roe last time and all three of those are decent in their own right. All would have won the race Laurina wok in Ireland (the favourite asides obviously) so I think Maria’s Benefits form is better.
I’d much rather her at 6/1 than Laurina at 4/6.

MOM- The last race she won was fairly decent i’d say formwise, you could maybe argue one or two underperformed but she can’t be blamed for that!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!I think laurina looks pretty solid, her last win looked good enough to win this and marias doesnt look to have much improvement left, but 6/1 against laurina or 11/4 without, i think the 11/4 w/o is a better bet imo.
I still be believe we have yet to see the best of Cap Soleil.
12/1 e/w is the bet of the day for me. So get ready to smirk when she finishes 4th.
Could be next year’s Champion Hurdle winner – if it wasn’t for the Mare’s Hurdle.
