I called her some names at the beginning of the season as I thought she struggled strength wise and in style.
She as clearly come a long way in a short space of time as her ride today was very polished and she got a real tune out of Tea for Two.
Excellent ride and she comes across well in interviews.
I hope she goes a long way.
Worth far more than her current 7lbs allowanceJanuary 10, 2015 at 20:05 #501070Kept it simple but it helps having a horse well in at the weights under her
January 10, 2015 at 20:11 #501072Yes it does but you still need to remain calm and cool and not make mistakes. Far better jockeys have cocked things up in the past.
Lizzie didn’tFebruary 18, 2016 at 06:54 #1234124Don’t think she rides Tea For Two well at all over fences. He still managed to win the Feltham but thought she gave him a poor ride in the Scilly Isles on the outside and no economy of effort.
This horse is a very good jumper, it will never happen but think he would benefit enormously from a Ruby Walsh riding him.

She as clearly come a long way in a short space of timeThat reminds me of the Mark Twain quote: ‘“When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.”
February 18, 2016 at 11:20 #1234137A real charaacter, and would much rather her riding one I’d backed than a lot of male jockeys I can think of.

Couldn’t agree more. Also found it annoying that although dropping in trip she was happy to give the speedier type an easy time of it up front. This meant when she made an error at the pond fence I think it was, the horse who is basically a stayer hadn’t the nimbleness to respond in time.
