I’m with Bow Echo 4-1 be great if the Boughey stable won this.

The more I know the less I understand.

Gstaad cant be winning this? Isnt bred for this, i think he’ll be leading and get done with 1/2 furlong to go,

Bow echo has been my selection all winter (i have some antepost on but nothing serious) but im slowly putting myself off him, he meets all the criteria, stamina fine, stride and frequency fine, but the formline im just not sure is that good? And i do not like that he hasnt given him a prep, thats fine from the big stables, but this “has” to be a negative today and as good as BL is, id much rather a more experienced jockey on, ill still have him as a good winner, but my thinking all winter was that id be piling into him today. It wont be a massive bet

Distant storm i think will win, nearly everything about him points to a massive run here (all the stats i mentioned above he comes out on top) and i cannot have him out the first 3, i think hes as solid an e/w bet you’ll see all season, there is one glowing negative though, the stable form, 1/18 in the last two weeks so again, ill have him as an e/w winner but i wont be piling in and im hoping for a fair drift before the off due to this

I think ill have a play on an outsider due to how strange i think the race is and its Avicenna at a big price, ill wait until the off as he’ll surely drift further, run behind oxagon i thought was a nice introduction

Really good betting race, really lacking obvious quality though

Some people saying it’s lacking quality, but we won’t know that until the race is run and how its won.

Distant Storm only had around a 2 week break from his impressive win the time before when 3rd in the Dewhurst. Trainer said he ran well but felt he left some of his race behind when he ran in the Dewhurst and feels coming here fresh will help. So that is the main reason I’ve sided with him. Gstaad and Bow Echo could still be very good. The others will need a step up I think, no idea which one would come out on top if it were to happen.

Into the Sky was very impressive when winning first time out , if he stays he has the talent to go close , I’ve added Billicart as he’s bred for this , if he’s too keen like last time then he has no chance , if he gets cover then he’s got a decent draw at a huge price , both e.w

Have gone with Oxagon at 12/1 but don’t have a strong opinion on the race.

Yeah I liked the look of Avicenna there. Seems to have matured since last season so worth an each way play after a nice prep with the breeding / odds.

“Bow Echo is short enough at 10’s now but I’ve had £5 on it based on I don’t fancy anything else”

That looked very impressive to me. Travelled well, beat a decent horse into second place decisively, which in turn was a long way clear of the rest.

Yes, a cracking race and a very decent renewal. Both top horses well clear of the rest. No hard luck stories, the form should be worth something.
    Well done winners

I think it probably panned out how it looked on paper. Appleby horses not running great so write off them but the rest behind the front two won’t win much this season
