Workforce all the way. End of.
July 24, 2010 at 09:41 #308179Stacelita
Who you think will win then i am on Daryakana at 20/1 to win
July 24, 2010 at 09:57 #308183Rising above totally unnecessary playground reactions to great races being sadly depleted.
………Even before Da Re Mi,Workforce looks a suspiciously easy to back price to me………record breaking Derby winner, arguably unbeaten if you’re prepared to accept genuine looking Dante excuses ( I am), open to any amount of improvement?…..shouldn’t it be long odds on?
Answer No,
Timeform have Workforce just 1 lb better than Harbinger (former with a p, latter with a +). Stoute’s current form being questionable too.Sir Michael’s runners today might change my opinion; but right now my 100% book is:
Workforce 11/8, Harbinger 3/1, Cape Blanco 7/1,
Daryakana 15/2, Youmzain 11/1
, Confront 800/1.
Backed each way:
Daryakana available at 16/1 (PP nrnb, bog).
Youmzain at 14/1 (Sky nrnb)Enjoy for value for money EWs Ginger………its a 3 horse race for me with the 3yo’s beating Harbinger into 3rd…….I’m not expecting anything like evens for Workforce though but if you want to private message me some 11-8 I would be very interested

With Stoutey having a good day yesterday, my prices have now changed slightly from those.
They are anyway a 100% book Bob, without any "bookies" mark up. Not what I’d offer to punters. 11/8 betting without a mark up (44.4%) becomes 11/10 (47.6%) when you add on a mark up for an unexposed improver like Workforce.
So I won’t be offering you the 11/8 Bob.

Taken some 5/2 Daryakana betting without the SMS’s as a saver bet.
Value Is EverythingJuly 24, 2010 at 13:44 #308207At Darren Daryakana nice filly outside chance if she has the speed to come late but does she have enough speed against this field?
July 24, 2010 at 14:02 #308211have now saved on Harbinger
Could not resist 7/2
Value Is EverythingJuly 24, 2010 at 15:31 #308221Get in. 12lb wfa obviously not enough.
July 24, 2010 at 15:32 #308222Well, didn’t think it would happen quite like THAT, but there you go.
Duncan isn’t that bad either. Amazing.

Course record has gone!
July 24, 2010 at 15:35 #308224Wow! Super performance! Cape Blanco not disgraced, proved he should have ran at Epsom, confirmed his form with Workforce as predicted.

Sea The who?
That was incredible. Absolutely astounding.
If the BHA can’t sell a horse like Harbinger on a performance of that magnitude, there really is no hope.
July 24, 2010 at 15:38 #308228
Still wish you was my bookie? The flat version of Dunguib the most over hyped horse for years.
(Zero in the tank when challenged) STS who?
Harbingers knockers what you got to say now? All the way to 5/1!
Cape Blanco comfortably confirmed his Dante superiority but Harbinger different class.July 24, 2010 at 15:40 #308229

I would probably say now that the Derby form wasn’t the best and that Cape Blanco is the best 3 yo from our shores going middle distance, and having beaten Workforce again shows he probably would have won the Derby.
Wow, what has Harbinger been eating for breakfast??? the horse is on fire.
Kieran said it’d win and Peslier said he was awesome after sitting on him this morning and he wouldn’t swap the ride for Workforce.
2/1 for the Arc though. Little short but going the same way may be worth a biggish bet.
July 24, 2010 at 15:45 #308235Can’t wait to rate that race. As a one off performance that must be THE best I’ve ever seen. Youmzain is a pretty reliable guide who never runs a bad race (even if he doesn’t win) and he’s been made to look like like a rocking horse.
Nothing would’ve beaten Harbinger today.
July 24, 2010 at 15:46 #308237What a mind Boggling race…
Only one thing for certain is that Workforce is the most flattered Derby Winner in Decades. Shocking effort.
July 24, 2010 at 15:48 #308240To be fair, Workforce is a lot better than that, but no, the Derby form wasn’t what it was cracked up to be.
Workforce was too free early, contrary to Aussie Jims observations
, and just didn’t seem right.July 24, 2010 at 15:51 #308243The french have proper 3yr olds.
We have nothing…simply nothing. If RVW wins next week in the Sussex we may have just seen one of the best 3yr old Generations last year(EVER!)….this year its clear the middle distance horse’s are putrid
July 24, 2010 at 15:59 #308249That was outstanding, not worked it out yet, but looks another 140+ horse?
Workforce is much better than that. This talk about the Derby being a crap race is stupidity. Horses are NOT machines. So what if he had an off day? Does not mean he’s useless.
I doubt if Youmzain is as good as he was last season, but probably ran to the form he showed last time. To the pound with Daryakana.
Cape Blanco possibly improved a pound or two.
