I’m giving it a rest today Max.. licking my wounds in prep for the Chesham Stakes and …. the Wokingham on saturday :o

June 22, 2007 at 11:42 #71085The Wokingham? Good luck!! Typical "Moth to Flame" race – I can’t resist it either.
I’ll back Cute anyroad.;)
June 22, 2007 at 12:50 #71088Max,
I like Cute and Liberty Belle here. I am not convinced this race is all that strong and just have a feeling that the value may be in opposing the obvious AOB favourite, who would appear to be fairly exposed now.
Wokingham, Schmokingham!
June 22, 2007 at 13:37 #71089Cute ran a cracker – needs a mile already lol. But no cigar on the place.
Could not have had the winner on my mind had I read tomorrows results. The most difficult trainer to fathom in the country, bar none.
June 23, 2007 at 10:26 #71092Glad I missed the Albany Stakes yesterday.. carnage.. :o
Ascot 2:30 7f – chesham stakes (listed race) (class 1)
Short listed <br>Feared In Flight, Maze, The Bogberry, Azeer, Double Attack
Again the modus operandi is to take on the jolly Feared In Flight even though he heads my ratings,  more so when the magic sign are best price.. ;) ÂÂÂ
The Bogberry. Hmmm, this is what the racing post wrote about his last run..
“Aidan O’Brien reported that the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot would be next for the winner and he could take some beating thereâ€ÂÂ
June 23, 2007 at 14:50 #71095Nice one with Maze, slippery. I’m having a mare today – even my ten year old is thrashing me on match bets through the cards, but fwiw, I’m on Balthazars Gift in the Wokingham.
June 23, 2007 at 15:40 #71097oh well Max.. we both got touched off in the Wokingham
June 23, 2007 at 16:16 #71099That’s Ascot, slippery!!;) Dead unlucky for you with that one.
But never fear…
…Golden Quest in the last.

March 22, 2008 at 00:33 #153241Let’s get the thread started for this season

Doncaster
2:15 – williamhillpoker.com brocklesby conditions stakesQualifiers:
Mr Melodious, Olympic Dream, Shadow Bay, Northern Tour, Calypso Girl
Min acceptable odds 5/1
Level playing field for punters et al so based on breeding, stats, facts etc my preferences are Mr Melodious and Calypso Girl
March 29, 2008 at 13:00 #15445029th March
4:15 – intercasino.co.uk e b f maiden stakes
The market seems to have got this one right in Asaint Needs Brass as the market leader. Comments for his sire Lion Hearted are
“stakes-placed over 6-7f on dirt in US at 3, by Storm Cat, has sired useful 2yos, mainly on dirt”
Seems suited to the a/w surfaces to me!
On pure dosage figures Comanche Trail is definitely a player and with every man and his dog punting Asaint Needs Brass she may be the value play in the race along with Imperial Skylight and Sub Prime for the minor places.
Its times like this I revert to exacta betting
a. Asaint Needs Brass b. Comanche Trail c. Imperial Skylight d. Sub Prime
Bet: Asaint Needs Brass, Comanche Trail
Exacta: AB/ABCD (6 lines)March 29, 2008 at 13:37 #154458I like SUB PRIME @ 5-1 AND BUCKLE UP @ 33-1 for the 615 although both are negatives in the betting.
March 30, 2008 at 19:07 #15461930th March 2008 – Southwell
3.30 Take A Break – Take A Pontin’s Break Median Auction Maiden Stakes
Qualifiers: Count Almaviva, Handcuff
Both Ryan and Osborne runners are the focus of my attention.
With the Osborne runner Handcuff entered in the Weatherby’s Super Sprint at Newbury in July (and previous entries at Nottingham and Leicester) I’m guessing that he is using this race as a prep and therefore I cant see Handcuff being fully wound up FTO.
Bet: Count Almaviva Min Odds: 2/1
March 31, 2008 at 21:34 #154812Folkstone
2.20 – E B F Betdaq Co Uk Maiden Stakes
Qualifiers: 5/2 Riflessione, 3/1 Raimond Ridge, 6/1 Doughnut., 6/1 Just The Lady
Race experience verses potential verses trainer ability. Given that Bad Beat was well-beaten in the Brocklesby and bolted up at Southwell yesterday, Riflessione who came 5th in that race looks the obvious choice. Over the years Mick Channon has used this race to blood some useful types so Raimond Ridge cant be dismissed.
I’ll sit this one out.
April 1, 2008 at 09:34 #154862From memory – can’t check at the moment – the Haynes yard has had a few early two-year-olds go close in minor races here (Racing Stripes for one), and with Seb Sanders booked for his (comparatively old) runner here, I’ll go with:
CALL ME COURAGEOUS – £2 win
CALL ME COURAGEOUS + RIFLESSIONE – 2 x £2 reversed exacta[/color:2q6hgy8j] - AuthorPosts
