Mr. Smith has also said he wants to be a mummy He’s a man and therefore cannot ever be a mummy. People who pander to him are doing him no favours imo
January 16, 2021 at 21:25 #1517923How come you get to choose but Sam Smith doesn’t?
January 16, 2021 at 21:39 #1517924I’m just starting to dislike Bryony Frost a litlle bit. It’s not her fault, it’s the (mostly unwanted) media coverage she gets.
NH Racing is much so more than just one female jockey. There are loads of fantastic female trainers around, like Hen, Venetia, Jessica, Pam Sly, Rebecca Menzies, Lucinda Russell, Amy Murphy, Sheila Lewis, and so on. Plus there are other female jockeys who deserve a lot of credit like Page Fuller, Lucy Alexander or Lily Pinchin just to name a few. Plus the grand lady who is head and shoulders above them Rachael Blackmore, only two winners behind Paul Townend going into today’s action.
The only things we get to read is what a great Saturday Bryony has had or why she is badly treated in the weighing room. Have to agree with Ginge about Holly Doyle not winning the BBC Sports Personality of the year.
People, journalists are obsessed with pointing out things as soon as they’re not politically correct, which is sexist or abusive to them.
Ask Colm O’Donoghue about that fake physical assault which would have ruined his career.
Yeats, you shouldn’t read anything Maddie Playle writes or tells us in her podcast.

Makes no odds to me as I have RTV but good to see more racing on terrestrial. The Dublin racing festival deserves the exposure.
January 30, 2021 at 14:46 #1520465I liked the little “home schooling” snippets. I think they should do those every week and they could have a mixture of interesting technical shots, artistic shots in sunrise/fog/snow like that lovely one of Aye Right, and the funny stuff. I’d also like them to do more “at home with” features in stables pretraining yards and jumping schooling places like Hen Knight or Laura Collet showing how it’s done.
January 30, 2021 at 23:29 #1520556I thought Olly Bell did a great job squeezing information out of Nicky Henderson regarding Champ, Epatante and Altior.. when asked about Epatante’s recent defeat did he say he thought the problem might have been with her back or at the back?
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 31, 2021 at 12:17 #1520584I thought he said “her back” Triptych, though he didn’t have my full attention as I was searching for the remote in readiness to turn the sound down when Cumani came on again. I don’t know if she’s having trouble reading her script or being distracted by something but her faltering delivery is starting to really grate on me.
January 31, 2021 at 14:48 #1520606Faltering delivery because she hasn’t a clue what’s she’s on about.

Being easy on the eye covers up a lot of sins though, in my book
January 31, 2021 at 15:50 #1520621Yes it was her back- they have been “tinkering”- Hendo’s favourite word when it comes to veterinary procedures- I suspect he means steroid injections to keep her going pending definitive kissing spine surgery in the off season.
January 31, 2021 at 16:15 #1520628Thanks Tonge and green I I didn’t hear the ‘her’ as his voice kind of faltered as if he was wondering what he would be asked next.
Hoping Epatante is back to her usual feisty self for Cheltenham..to me it was her spirit and determination to take on all comers that seemed lacking last time but we can all have an off day.
Don’t expect ‘Chesca’ Cumani enjoyed being at Lingfield with Hayley riding there..took me back to the days of Emma Spencer, Jamie & Hayley.
It must be like living a Jilly Cooper Novel at the Bell Yard..ding dong.

It certainly continues to serve me well.

Very quiet in general on here and over at TH, last time I looked.
People prefer the likes of Twitter now, can’t get on with Twitter myself – but each to their own.
February 6, 2021 at 11:04 #1521578I see they’ve got the Edinburgh “National” as the last televised race today.
What genius decided to schedule a 4m 1f chase less than fifteen minutes before they’re due off air?
February 6, 2021 at 12:26 #1521603Would have thought ITV had plenty of input on that one Gladiateur.
Wouldn’t think they would want it possibly clashing with other races throughout the afternoon so have stuck it on the end instead of showing less races.
Makes sense and there should be no problem if the race goes off more or less on time. -
