According to every news report I heard in the car today Lizzie is apparently unable to attend tomorrow and will, we are told, be watching on television. The question is, ITV or Racing TV?
I think we deserve to know.June 4, 2022 at 05:23 #1600395And will she have the sound off? 🤔
June 4, 2022 at 06:07 #1600400Ah yes the Ian Davies Button ™. Good point Glad.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 4, 2022 at 10:09 #1600425Totally agree re the coverage. Dont mind olly as he doesnt grate on me and adele gives sound reasoning. Jason is always interesting and i love the way he calls him dettori. I fast forward virtually all of the coverage bar the few mins before the race and after the race. As long as they are picking horses with some sense behind their thinking but most gush abour the fav who then goes and get stuffed.🤣
June 4, 2022 at 12:30 #1600469Did not like the overhead and head on shots for the last furlong.
Is this the norm now? I rarely watch ITV Racing now.I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highwaysJune 4, 2022 at 15:27 #1600539Even though the volume is well and truly muted, if I see one more….
Actually, I will leave it at that.
F knows how I’m getting through Royal Ascot.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 4, 2022 at 16:42 #1600556Well done Listowel. Starting the 4.40 just after the Derby started, forcing RTV to a split screen.
An absolute joke.
June 4, 2022 at 16:45 #1600561Not Listowel’s fault that Epsom couldn’t run to time. 🤷♂️
June 4, 2022 at 16:48 #1600565Fireworks at horse racing.
Great initiative that one.Blackbeard to conquer the World

You can say that a thousand times over, CAS. The flagship race of UK’s flat racing season which was also beamed to a world-wide audience failed miserably from the delivery point of view…
June 4, 2022 at 17:01 #1600578Nick Luck said as they were putting the horses into the stalls for the Derby that Listowel had said they were going to wait. So why didn’t they? There has clearly been a communication breakdown somewhere.
But what on earth are the officials at Listowel thinking? Can they not see that the Derby is due off and they only have to hold back for two minutes?
It is about the worst example yet of RTV trying to show too much racing. And the Irish racing has never worked on the channel. Yes, I am sure they love showing Punchestown. But who cares about Tramore and Listowel today? It would have been far better if they had still been on SSR/ATR.
It makes RTV look ridiculous to have to show its most important race on a split screen with a piddling little race no one was interested in. If I was in charge of RTV, I would be furious with Listowel.
June 4, 2022 at 19:58 #1600627Someone at RTV should had said stuff the Irish racing,This is THE DERBY.
June 4, 2022 at 20:01 #1600628As I said the other day here, where is it written that every race has to be shown live?
On Derby Day something has to give – like the Maiden at Lis-Fing-towel, for example.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 4, 2022 at 20:34 #1600632Absolutely, someone from behind the scenes should have been shouting,
“stick with the Derby FFS” I think they’ll get so much flack for this that
it will never happen again. ProbablyJune 4, 2022 at 20:36 #1600634Is The Derby really as important to the rest of The World as ITV kept informing us today?
It’s not even as important to me, since they first changed to Saturday, then buggered up the time to suit football.

I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highwaysJune 5, 2022 at 09:34 #1600709It looked like a rather sparse crowd at Listowel yesterday. I wonder how many people bothered to watch the “Fillies Maiden That Is So Important It Cannot Wait For The Derby”, instead of watching the Derby instead?
Even Hexham did not help by starting the Most Important Three Year Old Race Today (timed for 4.20) six minutes late. Just as well they took the usual long time to get down to the start at Epsom.
It is poor race planning to have a 2 mile hurdle race due off 10 minutes before the Derby and another race due off 7 minutes after Epsom.
