I agree with Steve about the state of this division at the moment.
I still believe Faugheen is the only horse that could stop BD winning the Champion Hurdle and although he would be very much second favourite it’s worth a go. The horse might still be getting back to full fitness after his long time off and there’s every chance better ground at the festival could bring about an improved performance.
Win-lose-or-draw I’d imagine stumps will be pulled up at the end of the season though.
As for Melon, surely sights must be firmly set on the 2019 Arkle. I think he’ll be a much better horse over fences: Footpad-esque.
