Boys and girls I am back. Can I promise you full coverage? No. Can I promise you winners? No. Can I promise you sobriety? Oh hell no. Can I promise I’ll give it my all……I’ll do my best

I do suffer from issues, some of which make me weak when I’m here, but hey, let’s do this.
I’ve bought my Cheltenham tickets, I’m ready for the big week and I’m ready to write about it. So, without further a do……
November 7, 2015 at 02:25 #1220565There’s only one place to start and it also happens to be the end point – Cheltenham. Quite magical!
I’ve been to-ing and fro-ing for weeks over the winner’s participation. Splash Of Ginge for me is a place certainty but PTIT ZIG wins this without a shadow of a doubt for me. The fact he’s the price can only be based on whether he runs. Connections do seem to be on on the dot though so hopefully it’s early Christmas.
November 7, 2015 at 04:47 #1220569The following day in the Greatwood it’s HARGAM. We prey it doesn’t turn into a bog because on anything with a bit of bounce on it there’s no getting away from him. Why he’s not favourite amazes me. Hendo’s already stated this is his early season target and he obviously needed his previous run. The bookies are blind to this though so fill up while you can
November 7, 2015 at 07:10 #1220572Good luck Boz

Dont take criticism to heart pal, this place is character building and I encourage that. All you need is a good priced winner and your confidence will grow…so will respect. You only need to look at Gingers ways of doing things,he’s unwaivered.Nobody in the history of horseracing has backed so many horses in one race,we know there’s absolutely no skill whatsoever in his scattergun approach but if you chuck enough Money out of your bedroom window at least a fiver will blow back in again!
Good luck Boz with ‘Ptit Zig’ turning up,he’s one of 4 top weights Nicholls has entered for the Paddy Power but at 28’s on the machine has to be worth a fiver.November 7, 2015 at 22:44 #1220668Cheers for the kind words guys
Onwards and upwards from here.November 8, 2015 at 01:48 #1220680Good luck boz. I posted as erm… last time i think it was superman or goldikova or whoever. Whatever. I hope you bet home a few winners. Also good luck to all the daily lays and plays. I prefer jumps to flats. Used to be a close call, but these days it’s easily jumps. I’ll watch out for you all.

Woah nelly, we’ve not even yet the Paddy Power yet me ol’ Bobby Dazzler and you’re asking me about the flat??
You know which side my breads buttered matey!Truth be told I’ve nipped a couple for the Oaks. I love the look of this TURRET ROCKS as an improving middle distance type. Solid form this year for Jimmy but will surely thrive at 3 over a mile and a half.
SO MI DAR is another I’ve had a tickle at. Couldn’t help having a go on a beautifully bred Johnny G filly who was that professional on debut. I’ve taken 25/1 on each mate.

The market’s telling me noooooo,
But Betfair, but Betfair is telling me yeeeeeeeeees

I get the feeling the owners fancy it but Uncle Paulie doesn’t. It’ll be an arm wrestle until final decs. Fingers crossed…….
November 12, 2015 at 21:40 #1221428Well my boy doesn’t make it to the party but all is not lost. Without him by my side I have far less confidence in finding an outright winner – tricky old renewal this year

So THREE against the field it’s become. SPLASH OF GINGE I said from the start looks a place cert and I still carry the belief, although a bit more give would’ve been helpful. Young Jamie Balgarry taking 5lbs off looks a help though.
ANNACOTTY is another who would’ve preferred a few drops more. This one’s been taken more in a bit of faith that he can show well on debut for Alan King. I’ve always thought he’s got a good handicap like this in him though while he’s lurking in the mid 140s. He is a Feltham winner after all.
Lastly I couldn’t help but add PRESENT VIEW to my list. Seeing him near the foot of the weights today, 1lb lower than last year where he ran a belter on softer ground than he’d have liked, it just seemed a must. The fact there’s a drop of 25/1 about seems crazy, although the trainer reaching for the blinkers does show they’re clutching a bit.

Careful Boz, Gord will be accusing you of backing half the field too.
Welcome back mate.
