Andy, i had a bit of a giggle at you during Aintree. I was watching on the box, and you looked none too happy at the guy who starts the races because he wouldn’t let you start because your horse wouldn’t budge an inch.

As comical as your reaction was, i can see why you felt aggrieved. I thought your ride along with Deep Purple had a right live chance. Obviously Tartak had other ideas though.

    Lovley horse Doctor David.

Remember backing him at Haydock in December when he walloped Kalahari King.

Pathetic what the starter did at Aintree in telling him to get the horse of the track.

I see that Hayley Turner has a doctor’s appointment today with the BHA’s chief medical advisor and namesake, one Dr Michael Turner. Will have see if the good doctor passes her fit to ride or keeps Miss Turner on the sick list for a while longer.

Timeform radio just reported Hayley has been stood down from race riding for 12 months by the BHA’s doctor.

Apparently she suffered bruising inside her skull.

Dr Turner said: "Having carefully studied the results of recent tests and consulted expert opinion, I was unable to recommend that her licence be renewed until 12 months from the date of the accident.

"Hayley has recovered well from her injuries but you cannot take any chances in cases like this.

"She remains under regular medical review and is due to see her own specialist at Addenbrookes (Hospital) in early June.

"Hayley is obviously disappointed but understands my decision."

It must have been a major blow to the head that she took. Not sure if it also means she cannot ride out as well.
