April 9, 2009 at 19:57 #221081hey, thats great news! i look so much forward to see her back, beating the boys again…all the best, hayley!!
April 9, 2009 at 23:17 #221106Andy, i had a bit of a giggle at you during Aintree. I was watching on the box, and you looked none too happy at the guy who starts the races because he wouldn’t let you start because your horse wouldn’t budge an inch.
April 10, 2009 at 15:04 #221178oh yes, you mean the "doctor david" accident? yes, was not too godd for me, but hey, thats gone. now is looking forward to the nex big ones for him…
April 10, 2009 at 15:11 #221180As comical as your reaction was, i can see why you felt aggrieved. I thought your ride along with Deep Purple had a right live chance. Obviously Tartak had other ideas though.
April 10, 2009 at 15:20 #221182but, as far as i know andy, hes quite a relaxed guy. and i will continue to be on his horses in the future…
April 10, 2009 at 15:23 #221183Ahhh so you’re not him then. I take it you’re one of his groupies ?
April 10, 2009 at 15:28 #221184exactly graeme! i am a german N.H. enthusiast for nearly two decades now, and a big fan of him for a long time. i hope, he has some good rides tomorrow..but sorry, this is thehayley thread, we should not destroy it, right?..but in the lays and plays section, i just started my new column " andys tipps". it would be a pleasure for me to get your daily opinion about my fancys.
April 10, 2009 at 19:53 #221225Lovley horse Doctor David.
Remember backing him at Haydock in December when he walloped Kalahari King.
Pathetic what the starter did at Aintree in telling him to get the horse of the track.
April 14, 2009 at 16:24 #221807I see that Hayley Turner has a doctor’s appointment today with the BHA’s chief medical advisor and namesake, one Dr Michael Turner. Will have see if the good doctor passes her fit to ride or keeps Miss Turner on the sick list for a while longer.
April 14, 2009 at 17:24 #221815Timeform radio just reported Hayley has been stood down from race riding for 12 months by the BHA’s doctor.
April 14, 2009 at 17:48 #221817Apparently she suffered bruising inside her skull.
Dr Turner said: "Having carefully studied the results of recent tests and consulted expert opinion, I was unable to recommend that her licence be renewed until 12 months from the date of the accident.
"Hayley has recovered well from her injuries but you cannot take any chances in cases like this.
"She remains under regular medical review and is due to see her own specialist at Addenbrookes (Hospital) in early June.
"Hayley is obviously disappointed but understands my decision."
It must have been a major blow to the head that she took. Not sure if it also means she cannot ride out as well.
