Shame and obviously the main thing is that’s she going to be ok but I really hope that this doesn’t undo a lot of the hard work that she’s done in rising through the ranks.
Racing also needs faces/personalities like her and it will be particularly frustrating for her as she probably feels as though she could ride in a race tomorrow but you’ve got to play it safe with head injuries.
I can see her popping up on C4 Racing during the summer
Terrible news, but of course safety comes first. I hope she can make some good use of the down time.
I’m sure she would have had increasingly good rides this season and I was looking forward to her first G1.
That is awful news, i really wish her all the best.
She is a very talented young jockey, and it’s horrible that an injury has resulted in her being off the track for the next 12 months.

This must have come as a terrible shock to her, but better safe than sorry.
We are well rid of the "good old days" when jockeys were allowed to ride on after too many bangs on the head.
I’m sure she’ll be back with a vengeance next year.
We all know Hayley will be annoyed at not being aloud to ride for 12 months but it is for the best and she will be back fitter and stronger for the 2010 season.
Echo what was said about her being on Tv, i can see C4 using her quite a lot for the big summer flat meetings and on ATR and RUK.
Racing can be a cruel sport at times but at least she is still alive and healthy from an accident which could have been much much worse had things not gone the way they did.

Medical people can be of very mixed ability, but the jockeys advisors are

A baffling decision, how many jump jockeys repeatedly fall on their head but are not stood down for a year, yet she’s been told she can ride out in a month, can you not fall off a horse on the gallops?
Has her being female got anything to do with it and when was the last male jockey to suffer a similar fate of being stood down for a year?
Hopefully she will get a second opinion.Now that Haley has a bit more time on her hands than she would like, perhaps a bit of modelling for one of the better class magazines would keep her army of male admirers content for the duration of her recovery!

Seriously though i hear her on C4 today and she is very good and can see her doing a few more C4 gigs this year, i would suggest the BBC hire her but they have an aversion to Racing.
Like i have said before this years Derby is going to be a cracker, at a time when we need to keep the sport of Kings at the forefront of the publics imagination The Ante-Post King is looking for his Queen to keep the Great race alive! Hayley Turner can use that pretty face of hers, with a personality to match to sell this years race to Joe Public, This will be a Derby to remember! Start knocking on those doors Hayley!
