February 27, 2026 at 14:52 #1756531Gaelic Warrior homing in on favouritism
would be mega short if Townend wasn’t so sentimentalCharles Darwin to conquer the World
February 27, 2026 at 16:38 #1756541Inothewayurthinkin halving in price. Has Cromwell told JP he’s grown a leg? ;o)
February 27, 2026 at 16:44 #1756544Cromwell ‘reminded’ punters yday that the horse is a Spring horse.
I took a bit of the 14s myself.
February 27, 2026 at 19:53 #1756577What ..favourite for the Ryanair your mean Hughsie
February 28, 2026 at 13:05 #1756682Inothewayurthinkin into 8’s top price now… You got to think that Fact to File is Ryanair bound. With that in mind Mullins will run Gaelic Warrior in the right race of his choice
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
February 28, 2026 at 13:15 #1756684Inothewayurthinkin would be a disappointing winter for me. A bit like Al Boum Photo. Like to see them perform at least 1 or 2 times in other races.
February 28, 2026 at 16:16 #1756727Lol with Patrick on board , I’d want a price then getting around ….
March 1, 2026 at 10:03 #1756808I don’t think I’ll end up having a bet in this. I don’t know how you can have a firm view on it.
Let’s say F2F, JB and GW all end up here, 6 or 7 of the front of the market all have stamina doubts.
If Haiti is a double figure price on the day I’ll probably go with him each way. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great race in prospect. But anybody telling you they have a strong opinion on the winner is deluded.
March 1, 2026 at 11:10 #1756814I don’t see Haiti being double figures , the chatter about last year’s winner schooling well my yet see FTF go Ryanair ( it’s worth noting JP has a real chance of winning the CH , CC , Stayers and Ryanair if FTF goes there , if FTF does go Ryanair then Haiti is likely to see support , there’s no question of him staying unlike the rest of the he front of the market , the e.w bet is GDC , I don’t buy into this he’s fell into a hole , he may not be as good as he was but Willie belives in him and so does Townsend , of the younger horses it s the Pauling horse I like
March 1, 2026 at 11:44 #1756816I have backed last year’s winner (as mentioned earlier) and have gone in again. I will back something else on the day, probably the King George winner.
However, if it is to be back to back victories, I hope it is not greeted by either radio silence or sycophantic interviews with Cromwell and McManus. Serious questions should be asked.
March 1, 2026 at 11:47 #1756817His prices all winter tell anyone anything you need to know , it’s all about 1 week , there’s no point in thinking anything else , I backed him straight after last year’s race and again in the summer , even if he is back this looks a much better quality race so it’s not hard to take him on
March 1, 2026 at 14:06 #1756827Gosh, who would have thought it?

He must like the spring air.
March 1, 2026 at 14:49 #1756832The only horse in recent times that won the GC after falling lto was Mr Mulligan. Have there been others?
March 1, 2026 at 15:19 #1756836McCoy blamed himself for that fall , he worked him before Cheltenham where in his words he ” worked like a Yak ” luckily despite trying he couldn’t get off him
March 1, 2026 at 15:41 #1756837Dawn Run fell in her race before the Gold Cup but was remounted and finished last, if memory serves.

Connections of Fact To File will leave it late before deciding whether he will be supplemented for the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The JP McManus-owned gelding was a nine-length winner of the Ryanair Chase at the Festival last year, but thrust himself into the picture for the blue riband with an impressive success in the Irish Gold Cup, where he left his esteemed stablemate and dual Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Galopin Des Champs trailing in his wake.
The Willie Mullins-trained nine-year-old would need to be added at a cost of £25,000 to the Gold Cup, for which he is generally a 4-1 chance, while he is odds-on in the Ryanair market.
A Fact To File decision could also dictate Festival plans for Nicky Henderson’s Jonbon, with the 12-time Grade One winner holding entries in the Ryanair Chase and Queen Mother Champion Chase.
McManus’ racing manager, Frank Berry, said: “It (supplementing) will be a last-minute decision, right up to the six-day stage. Everything is under consideration, with Jonbon and all.”
