    What do you make of Simcock’s Raakib Alhawa? I thought he looked good FTO, obviously only maiden form so hard enough to judge.

    Raakib Alhawa‘s form is not “maiden form”, Jack. Did particularly well to win the Haynes Hanson & Clark on debut and should improve in to at least Group Class. But imo doesn’t deserve to be so far clear of the neck second Dashing Willoughby, who was giving 3 lbs and didn’t have as much cover in to a strong headwind (pair finished 6 lengths clear).

    Couldn’t get back to you in time for the race, as went out this afternoon with my girlfreind.
    20.00 is only around 0.5% better than the original bet of 16.5/1, so personally didn’t think it worth a top up. Noticed before, value bets that are second strings don’t seem to shorten like others do, so in future might wait with that type of bet.
