Not really, Mtoto.

I have the race to a 100% book:

Poet’s Word 6/4
Roaring Lion 4/1
Saxon Warrior 11/2
Benbatl 17/2
Without Parole 16/1
Latrobe 25/1
Thunder Snow 25/1
Thundering Blue 200/1

Allowing for a margin of error 2.62 is a bit short, take the commision out and it’s shorter still. However, did find it an easy race to work out, so doesn’t need a big margin of error. 13/8 would be my limit for a saver.

If not on anything yet I’d advise backing Benbal each way as the main bet:
19 points each way @ 11/1 Benbatl (min 10/1) with a saver on Poets Word if you can get 13/8. If you’ve already done Benbatl as a win only saver then add to that win only and have a place saver.

Only have a main bet on Poets Word if 7/4 is available (69 points @ 7/4) with Benbatl also a win only 28 points @ 11/1. I am keeping Benbatl only as a saver due to the Cracksman bet.

Sort of, Istabraq.
It doesn’t necessarily mean the saver is slight value, normally it’s just that it’s not quite as good value as my other bets in the same race. ie If I’ve had other (main) bets in the same race, I don’t want to have too many main bets in the same race, otherwise I win very little.

In the vast majority of races I like to make a profit of 100+ points on the race… and because of that – if having another bet it may be only a saver.

Ah that makes sense, that means your ROI would be higher without doing the savers, but you’d go on longer losing runs too, is that right? Similar to doing accumulators
