Okay, so all I can find (with my limited French) is that FAG is not amongst the Ganay entries. I can’t find who actually IS entered.

Prix Ganay : Fame and Glory ne viendra pas
    14/04/2010 – 10:37 |
    A Longchamp

Un temps espéré dans le Prix Ganay, le 2 mai, Fame and Glory ne viendra finalement pas disputer ce Groupe II à Longchamp. Aidan O’Brien, son entraîneur devrait le diriger vers un Groupe III en Angleterre.

Zenjah, I feel that you are more skilled at ferreting out the French news, perhaps you can succeed where I have failed.

Great grand-daughter of Lupe. Wow, looks like a nice Alary/Diane prospect.

For pedigree-aficionados, a lovely Rasmussen factor to River Lady (damline of Riverman & Rock of Gibraltar) in addition to the common Natalmas.

Ole: hold tight! – nothing wrong with your research – they just haven’t put them up yet! :o

They say that Lellouche has a deep pool of talent this year she-wolf the rare one at that – is their big hope as was ‘Board Meeting’ last year.
Don’t forget her – 2nd to ‘Shalanaya’ in the Opera…I have a feeling that things might not have worked out for her as they would have liked for one reason or another.
As Crastus said at the start of the season that she was one who he looked forward to.
She looked a big filly so maybe has taken time to fill out?
He has some yet to have raced which are entered up in all the big races – just waiting to see them!

Irish – re: ‘Absolute Power’ he’s taking the same path as what ‘Magadan’ did it seems – maybe see him again in a couple of weeks time?

I know that you can’t wait ’till the Guineas trials Ole but there’s a nice race next week – Prix De Suresnes 19-4-10 @ M-L won in the past by the likes of ‘Vision’ – thought it was ran at Chantilly that year?!

Then the next day @ Longchamp the Prix Du Pre Catelan – won in the past by the likes of ‘Chinchon’.
Some nicely bred sorts there for you to check…Fabre has a couple for Magnier/Tabor etc…as well as the new boss!
Also see ‘War Czar’ is entered – form line to todays runner ‘Chasing Halos’.

I wonder if ‘Vision’ could re-appear in the Ganay? – know that they said that it might be too quick…but found an interesting piece on his time in Dubai! 8)

    What a day for Andre!

Deluxe Pool to Test for Fillies
    17/04/2010 – 11:51 | At Longchamp
Impressive winner of a race B on April 15 at Longchamp, Deluxe should now be extended and dispute Hen Testing Fillies. The sister of Champs Elysees, Dansili, Cacique and others, remains undefeated.

    Deluxe remains unbeaten
    15/04/2010 – 18:22 | The Prix de Diane in sight …
Deluxe remains undefeated after winning the Prix de la Grange aux Belles April 15 at Longchamp, showing a lot of class. The filly, trained by Andre Fabre, is thus very prestigious honor to his origins. Visit Hen Testing Fillies and Diane Price?

Thursday Longchamp Report – Deluxe by name and nature
    Thursday, 15 April 2010 19:19
Thursday 15th April 2010, Longchamp. Deluxe (Usa-Storm Cat) produced an impressive acceleration to get the better of Countess Lemonade (Usa-Storm Cat) in the €29,000 Prix de la Grange aux Belles (3yo Fillies-1,600m), an easier success than the winning distance would suggest. However throughout the race the André Fabre-trained filly did not appear above the rest of the field. Countess Lemonade had a dream run and it required a very good filly to beat her.
Unluckily for Countess Lemonade there was such a filly in the pack and Deluxe lengthened in impressive fashion to win by a neck. It is no surprise that she is as talented as the winner is a half sister to such horses as Dansili, Banks Hill, Heat Haze, Intercontinental, Cacique and Champs Elysées. She won first time out last September at Chantilly in a moderate field but was never seen again until Thursday.
Now we just have to wait and see in what class of company she will appear next as Claude Beniada, Khalid Abdullah’s manager, declared that the decision would be left up to the filly’s trainer.

    Escoville – Classy Chasing Halos

Chasing Halos (Usa-Elusive Quality) opened his official record in the €29,000 Prix d’Escoville (3yo Males-1,600m), after having already won an AFASEC race (for young inexperienced jockeys). However the slow pace meant that there were quite a few unlucky candidates such as Ephémère (Fr-Sevres Rose) and especially Bundestag (Gb-Dansili), though the winner is most certainly a very good horse with a promising feature.
Another well bred winner as Chasing Halos is out of Ballado’s Halo, a talented performer in the USA and more importantly a full sister to the champion Ashado (Breeder’s Cup Distaff, among other Group wins). No wonder she made $550,000 when Bill O’Gorman bought her for Sheikh Mohammed at the 2008 Keeneland September sale (click here for catalogue page).
Maxime Guyon, who rode his first treble for Andre Fabre on the card, said afterwards: "After his first run we knew that he had talent. He is an impressive model and needs time to find his rhythm. He finished well and looks promising for the future.”
Back in second place, Pink Gin (Fr-Kouroun) also produced an encouraging performance. His trainer Jean-Marie Béguigné announced: “His run today was very pleasing, especially as he was giving a kilo and a half to the winner. He was still going easily coming off the false straight while others were already under pressure. When he is more mature physically he will be able to stay over longer. He will more than likely run over 1,800 metres before going for the Prix Daphnis (Gr3).”

Yeah – the translations need translating! :D

Once you know the language of translation you’ll understand that a dolphin is a leader and that ‘crack’ is not a drug but a good ‘un!

    Check this:

    A promising 2010 vintage

Spring is synonymous with hope to the thoroughbred. The classic 2010 season looks promising, after reading what we saw last Thursday at Maisons-Laffitte (Price and Jebel Reckless), then reopen Sunday at Longchamp. Some references to the fall have confirmed, while new talents seem to hatch. So much better.
In the Prix Noailles, the impression left by the "blue" Planter and the "beige", Rewilding was excellent. Both foals have produced a beautiful and long acceleration in the straight. First striker, having had a run in gold in the back of the undefeated Tenacious Spring which has boldly attempted a chance to enjoy their fitness progress, the partner of Anthony Crastus immediately took his distance. He has not released then, even if Rewilding redid a lot of ground on him to finish a length and a half. Between those two and "Royer" Ivory Land, the gap (five laps) dug in the last 400 meters was impressive, with an excellent time (33”43).
If galloped a little under the knees, Planter is terribly effective and can probably be "loose" over the outputs. In the circle, the son of Danehill Dancer (a template with a beautiful head and expressive free) is also published some more asphalt and less "fit" the little brother of Dar Re Mi from the German stallion Tiger Hill. Planters had not been seen since his success in a "B" September 24 and his second at this level since Nov. 9. If they are both engaged in the Prix Greffulhe and Jockey Club, the resident Elie Lellouche was also involved in the Poule d’Essai des Foals, if it fails to place. His first steps performed on 2,100 meters have removed any ambiguity later held.
Of the 1,400 meter Prix Djebel, Makfi posted its pretensions and its seriousness, Thursday at Maisons-Laffitte for his return, winning three lengths frank face Too Nice Name, Rewilding second in last fall. What lines become solid in early April. Makfi is another good "pub" for sales of 2 years mounted. Researched by Matthew Offenstadt and Mickel Delzangles for 26,000 Guineas at Newmarket in early autumn, the son of Dubawi was part of a contingent of "Hamdan Al Maktoum, the very man who, thirty minutes later, saw his uniform win Reckless Award, thanks to his new Italian rookie, now trained in Pau by Jean-Claude Rouget, Joanna. This last, powerful, was already very beautiful presentation at the round and despite questions about his ability to land (very soft), she did very well to come and pull out the decision to "Rohaut" service, Evading Storm .
Makfi and Joanna have won, obviously, their visa Laying Test.
Side Nagy, Andre Fabre has hit it with two recesses 4 years, and especially Bywood Cutlass Bay. The first, missing since mid-September, has outperformed its rivals in the Prix J. Laffitte (1800m), winning this listed in two strides. The second remained undefeated for its fourth public appearance, when he had not been seen on track for eleven months and despite the handicap to make three to six pounds to his rivals. The "born and raised in Dubai," bearing the coat Godolphin is engaged in the Coronation Cup, Group I Epsom fetish coach Chantilly (St Estephe, In The Wings, Apple Tree Sunshack, Swain, Shirocco). Will he planned on 2,400 meters or 2,100 meters on the Prize Ganay (hypothesis also Bywood?). It is feared that the classic distance is still the end of the world for him.

    Side Nagy?

I think Deluxe could be a real star (Hen Testing is Poule d’Essai de Pouliches i.e. French 1000G, by the way, although I am definitely going to start calling it the Hen Test).

Not to mention that she is already worth her weight in gold as a potential broodmare – Storm Cat on Hasili…very sexy.

Looks like Niarchos family want to run recent Prix Caius winner Makani (Bago’s half-brother) in the Fontainebleau (trail for the "Rooster Test") on the 25th, which means one of the current favourites Siyouni will not have the services of Lemaire. Wonder which Ballydoyle runners might be sent by AOB…

    lol !!!!!!!!!!!!….Zen that’s made me Roar !

I rather fancy this Group 1 Epsom fetish, I wonder what that’s all about… :)
    …all these Hen’s and Rooster’s…

seriously, what is Ibn Khaldun doing in the Ganay..? perhaps as a pacemaker for Cutlass..? I’d like to see him come back to some sort of form from his 2yo days…

Good to see the German’s still in training…Wiener Walzer and Night Magic, I shall be following those again this season especially WW, I think we might be surprised by this one.
