If Ginger and Princess are such big winners then why do they need to keep telling everyone else like we’re all muppets waiting for crumbs at the feet of gods?
It’s one thing to be confident and have strong opinions. I’ll always encourage individuals to back their own opionion. It’s another thing altogether to be so consistently boring.

Sea the Stars was so good over 10f a lot of people thought he wouldn’t get the Arc trip and he ended up doing better over the trip than he did 10f
How do you work that one out? He ran below form in the Arc and his class got him through.
I’ll start a thread and answer that

Ginge has his own unique style of finding winners,i respect his originality,i find winners in my own inimitable way! Where do you fit in Chizzy? Like i have said before you have posted nothing more memorable than a constant attack on your King! Very disrespectful! Find me just one winner and i will be the first to congratulate you,put a thread together that finds winners consistently and at prices you can only dream about and i will look twice, put a thread up thats 5k in profit and the Crowns up for grabs!
I"ll keep throwing you crumbs but until you can make a slice of bread,Put up or Shut up
!!
October 6, 2010 at 12:36 #321149So who is taking the 8/11 for Frankel in the Dewhurst?
Personally I think only an act of god will stop Frankel winning, if he turns up on the day fit and well he cannot get beat.
If Dream Ahead doesn’t run (Which I beleive he probably will not) Frankel wil start at 2/7.
Biggest bet I have ever had. Is he DEFINATELY running in the Dewhurst?
October 6, 2010 at 13:16 #321160would back dream ahead to beat frankel personally

What have I said now?

I try to give my opinion and give reasons for that opinion. It’s obviously up to others if they want to agree or disagree with me. "Intelligent discussion".
I too would encourage people to trust their own judgement.
As for being a "big winner", I’ve never told anyone on here how much I bet.
Am sure there are many people on here that know a lot more about the game than I. Simon, David, Alan, Jeremy, Rory, Sean, to name but six.
"Consistently boring"? Pot, Kettle, Black.

I find your persistent sniping boring in the extreme. Wish people would not keep using these racing threads to snipe at individual members. If you’ve got a problem with something I’ve written then PM me. May be (only may be) then I will change what I’ve said or act in future.
Appologies to anyone who finds me boring (except Chiswickian and Reet of course).
Value Is EverythingOctober 6, 2010 at 14:42 #321175I feel the ground could be the deciding factor should Frankel and Dream Ahead cross swords.
Frankel ticks the most boxes for me though and I think he’ll prevail.
October 6, 2010 at 14:53 #321177Interesting to learn that Timeform have Dream Ahead ( 130 ) and Frankel ( 129p )
I venture to add, that will change following the running of the Dewhurst.

Gambling Only Pays When You're Winning
October 6, 2010 at 21:01 #321228Really no way Dream Ahead couldn’t be rated the top 2yo so far to be honest, though as you say Himself that could all change. I will stick with Dream Ahead to rank supreme but wouldn’t be at all surprised if proven wrong!!

Ginger
I only wish you were interesting enough to be boring!
Banal, stultifying, incapable of original thought, certainly, but a long way short of generating the initial interest where one would grow to be bored.
October 6, 2010 at 21:17 #321234Personally I think that Dream Ahead has a round, soft ground action and can only beat Frankel in those conditions.
On decent ground I can see only one winner. Having said that, aren’t these a damn good bunch of two year olds this year ?October 6, 2010 at 22:26 #321258Personally I think that Dream Ahead has a round, soft ground action and can only beat Frankel in those conditions.

…
What impressed me about Dream Ahead was the way he quickly put 8 lengths between himself and Strong Suit after going into the last furlong already a length up. Not many flat horses can do that over 6 furlongs and Dream Ahead is a real threat to Frankel.Watching 2YOs progress through the season and seeing the best ones clash is one of my favourite things about the Flat. I keep calling this year’s Dewhurst ‘
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
‘ regarding Frankel, Dream Ahead and Saamidd.
October 6, 2010 at 23:22 #321264Is the going going to be on the firm side next May? Even if we get a dry spring, won’t Newmarket want good ground to stage a Brigadier Gerrard V Mill Reef moment. And water.
If it’s firm then Dream Ahead won’t turn up and go French instead. So they will want to safegaurd against that happening. I predict "good going" (at least officially).
Value Is EverythingOctober 7, 2010 at 01:33 #321273I think we need to re-read David Simcock’s words following the Middle Park. He only said that "He won’t run with any firm in the description
this year."
So I wouldn’t jump to the conclusion just yet that a tilt at a Newmarket Guineas in gd fm "next" year is out of the question.
I suspect Simcock’s reasoning is that we have already bagged the all important juvenile Group 1 so why scupper a 2011 Classic campaign running him on gd fm when there is not a massive amount else to prove this season. Also Simcock is hardly blessed with an abundance of Group 1 material, so you can hardly blame him for "minding" his stable star for now.
I think the French option being under serious consideration was suggested by Ed Dunlop re: Native Khan.
October 16, 2010 at 23:51 #322858I think that Dream Ahead with his round action quite clearly will need softish condtions.
Looking at his build, only, he looks a sprinter to me.
Frankel though, seems to be fulfilling Mr Cecils opinion.
Having re-read this thread, and other related ones, I really do wonder why people think they know better than the maestro.
Henry knows best guys !October 17, 2010 at 23:26 #323043Not "better than" Coggy, rather "other than".
