I was very impressed by Rhinestone Ruby who won for me last time out.
It’s not that she beat much but the fact she had to make all due to the fact the rest were near on useless. She was going way too well for her own good and never really settled which often is the downfall of some horses.
Despite that she had ebough enregy left to win as she liked, coming home nearly 30 lengths clear.
This looks a more competitive race and the fav would be a stone better tha those she beat last time but if they can cover her up this time she should run a stormer.
Well worth a bet even not many horses win novices giving away weight like she has to tonight.

Apologies if I created some controversy when asking about P&L….I was genuinely interested to see how you were doing. The clock here is fu*cked-up all ways from zero….if only Admin could sort it out………..unfortunately, he’s from Wick, and prefers the moon-cycles method, rather than anything modern.
Good luck with this project. I will look in from time to time, to see how much of a caning your nuts are taking!

Seems like there’s no secret that Richard Hannon thinks Moonlight Dancer is really special and she wasn’t fully wound up when finishing 3rd to Seta. He and John Gosden are pretty tight so I would imagine Hannon wil know if Estonia is any good or not and it will be reflected in the early betting. I don’t intend waiting to find out and hope she may just open odds against.
I for one won’t miss her if she does.
I don’t expect any prices offered to last long so the instruction is out to grab the first available price if 4/5 or better

Evasive takes a huge drop in class here but how good is the form?
Jamie Spencer had a rush of blood to the head on Tariq first time out this season. The form book said he hung left but it was a deliberate wild move on Jamie’s part looking for better ground. There could lie the answer. This horse was the apple of PCH eye a while back and fast ground could be just what e needs to get back to form. The race has beeen reduced to 12 which could see him being placed at a big price.

AP goes to Bangor today to ride my old pal Danehill Willy today but with Toshi who is the most unpredictable horse on the planet runnng I’d be too scared to get stuck in.
AP has a small task of throwing the leg over Fongoli earlier who should be renamed steering job for todays race. I can’t see how Evan William’s Invasion can possibly reverse placing with him and the rest look very moderate. He had a run on the flat to keep him busy and will be spot on for this and will probably start odds on.

The money keeps coming for Moonline Dancer which is no surprise and there’s very little intrest so far in anything else.
It seems perfectly feasible to me that if Estonia isn’t that good this could be a very ordinary race and Moonline Dancer could win this very easily indeed.
I’m banking on that being the case and backing her to win by more than 1 1/4 lengths at 3/1.
I thought about backing Amzeel today as he was very impressive last time out when winning his Maiden but he’s gone way too short in price.
Ryan Moore never does much more than he has to to win races so with Hughsie likely to give him a bit of a fight on Lucky Genral I’m banking on the distance being 2 lengths or under at 2/1.

Dead or Alive is drifting badly but I thought he won really well the other day.
He travels well in his races and can’t imagine him not being placed here.

Seems I am not finished for the day after all. A friend pointed out to me there appears to be a gamble going in the last at Market Rasen on Rajeh and I think it stinks to the high heavens.
Rajeh has been running on the flat for along time and hasn’t looked like winning for along time. They seem to have backed him fairly heavily before at Salisbury and had their fingers burned in a moderate 5 horse race.
I have a feeling this is a move in the hope the hurdles will waken up his ideas but that doesn’t always work.
When you consider Any Given Day has won 5 out of 6 races over the last year you can hardly say he’s been over raced. He is obviously a very good horse and if I was going for a touch I doubt I would want to be taking him on. He looks massive to beat one horse as the rest look as if they couldn’t raise a gallop if the entire course was downhill….famous last words

Last month Evan William ran Winchester Hill 3 times in 15 days. On his final run he looked like a horse who wasn’t enjoying it and finished very tired horse. Whether after 4 weeks of he can bounce back remains to be seen.
Burgess Hill ran for the first time over fences at Perth and was always going well within himslef. Travelling really well throughout and looking like it was going to be a case of how far, he jumped the last and wandered all over the shop. In the end he won very easily and he has the more experienced Richard Johnson on board.
One worry is the ground as he does go very well with plenty cut.
