It’s good going to keep a horse sweet and sound and winning a grade 1 at the age of 11.
Who else has done it? Wiki tells me
Gordon Elliott with Sire du Berlais
Jessica Harrington with Moscow Flyer
Willie Mullins with Hurricane Fly
Henrietta Knight with Edredon Bleu
Kim Bailey with old Docklands Express
Michael Hourigan with the evergreen Beef or Salmon
Paul Nicholls with Kauto Star and Tidal Bay
Colin Tizzard with Cue Card
Martin Pipe with Deano’s Beano
Going back further:
Mouse Morris with Skymas
Fulke Walwyn with Crimson Embers in the Stayers and Mandarin in the Gold Cup
The master , Vincent O’Brien, in style with Hatton’s Grace and Cottage Rake
A few others, though I’m not sure if Nicky Henderson has – answers on a postcardEmma Lavelle will soon be trying it in the Long Walk with Paisley Park though he only wins that every other year so he’s not due to win it again till he’s 12
December 10, 2023 at 08:15 #1673343Howard Johnson with Grey Abbey , he was better at 10/11 than 8/9 , honestly if a prime Abbey had ran in his ground in Best Mates last GC … I wish he’s gone to Howard Johnson sooner
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
