Tornado Alert 66/1 each way
June 1, 2025 at 12:29 #1731768Weather forecast is for showers pretty much all week, so they will need to be careful with their watering policy at Epsom.
June 2, 2025 at 14:06 #1731807Despite some naysayers on here, I think this is a really interesting Derby and could unearth a very good horse. For a traditionalist, it’s great to see two French entries, especially one in the colours of the late Aga Khan. The winners of all the key trials are in there, there’s a potential Triple Crown bid on the line and we’ll probably get 16 runners or more. What’s not to like ?
June 2, 2025 at 14:41 #1731809I think most Derbys are interesting, in one way or another, and this is no exception.
What I find strange are the number of comments which are often voiced about ‘how average the upcoming race is’. Most Derbys are close to the average since that’s how averages work!June 2, 2025 at 14:53 #1731810“What I find strange are the number of comments which are often voiced about ‘how average the upcoming race is’.”
Can’t disagree with that. We won’t really know until the race is run and the season unfolds to see how the form stacks up.
June 3, 2025 at 15:37 #1731843Nice to see they’re hoping for Soumillon on Lazy Griff. Now will I still get 100-1 ew 4 places on Saturday morning? 🤞
June 3, 2025 at 20:46 #1731859I went for a walk on the Downs today and it was quite drizzly at about four o’clock but it cleared up later.
I was quite surprised that they were watering (I walked past the 7F chute), given the weather forecast.
June 3, 2025 at 21:19 #1731861Why are they watering😡
June 3, 2025 at 21:35 #1731862I’ve attempted to add a few photos from Epsom this afternoon, but they haven’t worked. 🤷♂️
June 4, 2025 at 01:26 #1731871Glad..have you tried.

Hopefully should work..
JacNathan helped me with this a while back and it’s a good go to for uploading photos.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 4, 2025 at 08:44 #1731874Edit: finally managed to upload a few pics from my walk, using Jac’s handy hints!
June 4, 2025 at 13:04 #1731894Ok I posted a (probably over too long) post yesterday re Midak, and when I pressed to post
I got a warning message re the site. I couldn’t back press so I lost the lot including
my reasoning/pedigree etc. Here’s the bare bones. Yesterday, despite the connections confirming he would run,
only Bet365 was offering 14/1. That seems to be the general price on offer from
all the bookies today. I managed to get a decent bet at 25 on the exchange. I cant
say what the exchange is now as it is suspended.Best of luck

I don’t find it surprising at all, no matter what the weather forecast says. Clerks seem addicted to watering their courses now.

Midak is best priced 20s with Lads. They’d prob boost that to 22s if placing a bet now.
June 4, 2025 at 14:21 #1731901Since 2011 whenever the field has been at least 16 runners the winners have come from stall 9 once, stall 14 once, stall 1 once and stall 12 three times.
Corals 80-1 on Tennessee Stud ew 3 has just been taken!
I’m hanging on for my ew 4 places on Lazy Griff. 🤞June 4, 2025 at 14:35 #1731903Why did The lion in winter get stall 19 especially when on him since maiden win
Gutted about that
