At least you can rely on the Racing Post for balanced judgement on Godolphin, at least regards from Alaistair Down and Brough Scott. Did anyone else vomit into their cornflakes at what Scott wrote about Sheikh Mohammed last Sunday.
March 30, 2008 at 02:23 #154517The only thing missing from Flash’s posts is a b-boom at the end!
Yet another wotless rant
March 30, 2008 at 06:46 #154524I didn’t watch Channel 4’s coverage but did I glimpse Alice mounted at the start (on a horse that is, stop sniggering at the back)?
What was that all about?

March 30, 2008 at 07:28 #154526Flash..it’s no different to Paul Nicholls and his owners cherry picking the best young horses from France each spring. Denman and Master Minded unknown ? To you maybe.
Coolmore bought Excellent Art privately and Myboycharlie was secured after winning the Angelsey Stakes for someone else. Invasor was poached from Uruguay by Sheikh Hamdan. Your posts are utter nonsense.
Couldn’t put it better myself. Great post, especially the last line.
Utter hypocrisy and lack of intelligence..

I’m not sure that is an issue for the moderators to be honest.
If, in the course of forum debate someone questions your viewpoint and implies that you must be stupid to believe something, then generally it is down to you to defend yourself or for others to step in and point out that a certain comment was unfair.
It is a different matter if, for example, someone comes on and says “I disagree with you, therefore you probably **** goats and **** your mother, who is also your sister”[/color:1bbn49o1] – this would be ridiculous personal abuse (not to mention plagiarism from Alan Partridge scripts) and the mods should take matters in hand.
I would add that if this forum is disintegrating so much, members banging on about it rather than trying to ensure they post quality messages is probably counter-productive. It may be a swan, but if enough people say it’s a turkey…
March 30, 2008 at 10:09 #154540I watched the c4 show for a few minutes before going back to ATR.
First we had Derek thompson telling us this is the tallest building in the world.
Then Simon Holt showing us that people in Dubai eat food.
Then Emma (Bling Bling) Spencer knocking on Frankie Dettori’s door and Frankie coming out in a comedy wig.
Did C4 ever get down to showing anything of the racing?
March 30, 2008 at 10:38 #154545Welcome to terrestrial television.

None of it is a rant its an opinion. Since when were opinions not allowed?
Maybe a bit of maturity is called for in appreciating a persons right to a differing opinion?
March 30, 2008 at 11:56 #154564I suspect the jolly for the C4 crew was tied to a bit of promotional work for Dubai, hence the footage at the beginning of the coverage.

Wasn’t a bad hurdler from what I remember trained by Martin Pipe. You selling him then? Maybe a few years ago I’d have been interested but he’s past it now.
