Yeah still on for the meet up, no preference either one in November is fine whichever suits you best.
Thurs 13th Nov starts at 1.10pm and Thurs 27th Nov starts at 12.30pm are those the right dates/times?
Looking at my diary I am going to the meeting on the 13th
Looks like we’re gravitating towards the 13th, then. Nice one! Wasn’t Seabird angling to join us as well?

August 26, 2008 at 19:37 #178286Heh-heh, BSB, there was almost as much of an inevitability about your post above as there is about this one of mine saying I think you’re quite, quite wrong!

Irrespective of the quality (or possible lack of) on show, anyone unmoved by Jeff Sadik winning the feature chase named in honour of his late son should consider trading in their real heart for one made of Formica.

Totally agree with you about that one GC
And what a grand performance by Desert Tommy, I saw him at my local when Evan Williams had him and he battled in through the mud in a 3m Hurdle and showed real true grit and determination, more so than DOM in the International on Saturday.
The sort of thing which is making me ache even more for the jumps to get going and I am even more excited at the hopefull prosprect of seeing Voy Por Ustedes in October at Aintree.

August 26, 2008 at 22:36 #178301I’ve never been to Cartmel, and apologies for my ignorance, but I can’t even recall seeing a race from there. However, I did see some of the racing on Saturday whilst in my local Ladbrokes, and it really did look like a lovely little course, the stone wall down the back straight almost reminiscent of Chester. Overall, the course itself looked a bit like Waregem with the narrowness and the overhanging trees on some of the bends, and the home straight that appears to go through the car park looks great! Yes, a bit too far north for me, but if ever I find myself in the Lake District, I’m sure I’ll have to visit!
