I love the one above – it was pointed out to me by a friend at our daily covidiots meeting this morning.

It will be a sad day for this country if they go ahead with the vaccine passport. Plenty of us don’t want the jab but may be forced into it unless we never leave home I guess

It’s not just about this vaccine for me either – I refused the flu jab as well, don’t like the idea of vaccines and it should be a free choice.

My dad used to say there are two kinds of freedom.

There is the freedom to walk down the street and shoot someone.

And there is the freedom to walk down the street without fear of being shot.

Anti vaxxers want the freedom to refuse the vaccine without consequences for their freedom of movement being restricted.

But pro vaxxers want the freedom to be able to move freely without coming into contact with those who might potentially give them Covid.

I’m not sure wanting to be able to refuse the vaccine, but still be able to move freely among those who do not want to be near the unvaccinated is a tenable position to hold, tbh.

Does that make me an awful authoritarian and anti-libertarian?

Two kinds of Liberty – as I originally said.

Well Ian, I could use the argument of ‘If the vaccine works, then you won’t catch this new covid flu bug from the unvaccinated because you’ll already be protected’

Anyway, I fully expect these power-mad muppets to be telling us shortly that there will be a curfew, probably 8 PM. That will be pointless, but don’t put it past them. The Police are acting like thugs now as well, just watched a video of them pushing people about and demanding not to be filmed. Sad times

The NHS might get overwhelmed. The NHS could get overwhelmed. The NHS is nearly overwhelmed. All to make people feel guilty and comply with whatever **** they want to thow our way.

That’s enough for me for one night :bye:

Certainly if everyone had followed your philosophy Tank, the NHS would already be overwhelmed. :negative:

Not using the Nightingale Hospitals hasn’t helped. You can’t get the staff! Mind you, having tens of thousands of NHS staff off work every day doesn’t help. I wonder how many thousands of those are sat at home self-isolating when they may have had a false positive test?

The Nightingale Hospital in London was decommissioned weeks ago- millions of pounds of equipment stripped out. Not so great foresight from our not so great leaders.

Was surprised that Boris didn’t tighten-up the rules/ restrictions in today’s bulletin. This means that he’s now very unlikely to go down the Kim Jong-Un route of ordering us guys to have the same haircut as him, which is a relief :-)

Anti-vaxxers to be shunned by most of society?

I know, Ian, it’s mandatory in all but name.

Don’t mind being jabbed if forced to in a year or two (if I’m spared that long) and if it’s proven to be safe by then.

Well, only mandatory if you want to be part of society from time to time.

Awful blokes, people, generally speaking, but they have their occasional uses.

I’d probably have to agree with that, sadly.
