She’s surely actually improved even more past the others (who were pretty tied in on formbook mostly) and that’s quite something given they had race hardness and fitness too
100 30 at one stage ..
June 17, 2022 at 16:35 #1602785Self explanatory ginge, rather than answer the story i just let it unfold lol.
It was always the case, there was one horse in the race, just whether she was ready or not…
Ignore everything in behind her anyway. Useless
June 17, 2022 at 16:40 #1602786Well that was impressive! Well done those who kept faith with her.
June 17, 2022 at 16:40 #1602787Argument for her being the best 3yr old miler – would love to see her in the Sussex, but I doubt they will go that route.
June 17, 2022 at 16:52 #1602790Falmouth is the obvious route.
Not sure she’d be suited by Goodwood.Value Is EverythingJune 17, 2022 at 16:53 #1602791Gosden was just trying to take the pressure off Dettori. There is no way he was going to run a quality filly in the Coronation Stakes just to get her fit.
She was different class.
We all know which filly would have won the Guineas if she had lined up.
June 17, 2022 at 17:16 #1602801Don’t think Goodwood would pose a problem honestly but the fillies mile programme (Falmouth, Matron, Sun Chariot etc) is going to be the most likely/obvious route given her superiority over the rest bar Homeless Songs – if not the Sussex then maybe a step up in trip in the Nassau Stakes could also be on the cards.
June 17, 2022 at 17:24 #1602805I think that was key Cork. This is why knowing trainers a little and their grip on things is so significant. He really doesn’t mess around
I wasn’t concerned about him playing things down very slightly. He often does that anyway ?
June 17, 2022 at 17:35 #1602810Superb performance – I rate her 120+ on that and I don’t see Coroebus or Native Trail being able to give her 3lb.
“We all know which filly would have won the Guineas if she had lined up.”
Don’t remind me – I had 7/2 ante post.
That’s racing.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 17, 2022 at 17:55 #1602817If she was mine, she would be going down that Group 1 mile race for fillies route. Why does she need to step up in distance when she is evidently brilliant at a mile?
I could understand connections stepping a colt up in distance but not a filly. Her foals are already worth fortunes.
June 17, 2022 at 17:58 #1602819As a filly the amount she can earn at stud relative to what she can earn on a racecourse means she could be around for a while.
I’d mop up every fillies & mares race going at a mile – why make life hard?
The Falmouth and the Sun Chariot have her name on them.

Go the Falmouth, possibly Matron and Sun Chariot.
Then – especially if Baaeed is by then at 1m2f – take the boys on in the QEII.Value Is EverythingJune 17, 2022 at 18:06 #1602822Wonder if she will stay in training?
Given Gosden’s comment of “I think she could go a mile and a quarter quite comfortably” the Nassau looks an obvious option to try it out but going the Falmouth, Matron & Sun Chariot route seems the most sensible but what we do need is a clash with Homeless Songs to happen at some point this season.
June 17, 2022 at 19:31 #1602840That would be good to see LD – both going on as a 4 year old and against Homeless Songs; personally I’d give Inspiral the edge unless it’s soft or heavy.
Value Is EverythingJune 17, 2022 at 19:36 #1602841Every chance she will stay in training.
The economics are completely different with a filly/mare.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 17, 2022 at 20:20 #1602850GT – Homeless Songs has never run on anything slower than good/yielding (Irish 1000) and I would hazard a guess that Inspiral (won on good to soft) might cope with soft or heavy ground a bit better as one of her half siblings won on heavy ground and as such I would back her turn of foot over Homeless Songs.
Having thought about it and after a little bit of investigating, Cheveley Park have a long history of keeping their fillies in training so there is probably a very good chance that we will see her again next season.
June 17, 2022 at 20:50 #1602857Lockinge next year. She must be a certainty with the weight allowance.
