Silk Afair, Sir Harry Ormesher and Quantitativeeasing for me.
March 17, 2010 at 11:05 #283214Quantitativeasing is my horse for the race
March 17, 2010 at 11:28 #283228Going to stick with my initial profile trio and see how that goes. Extremely profitable over the years and I’m not sure this race is any different in terms of the usual suspects we see line up.
Sir Harry Ormesher
Lake Legend
Wishfull Thinking (saver)gl all
March 17, 2010 at 12:20 #283244However tips are a plenty for this but one horse who is said to be fancied big time is Michael Flips. He was well fancied for the Supreme last year having impressed AP big time at Kempton and was his intended ride for some time before being claimed by JP to ride Ainama.
He was very disappointing last time out but that came only 7 days after he won the Lanzarote on heavy ground.
He’ll be nice and fresh for this and unlike may of these won’t be inconvienenced by the ground. He gave Fairyland when she was at the top of her form a real drubbing on it at Kempton last season. He got abig weight but then he’s a big price and will be 40-50 on the machine and around 8 for aplace I’m having a bit on him and a few quid on Ruby.
Michael Flips and Deautchland for me
plus a little RFC for fun.
Good luck but Michael Flips has become very unpredictable and he ran a shocker at last year’s Festival.
March 17, 2010 at 12:25 #283245I think Quantitativeeasing will be too keen to get home, so I’m keeping the faith with Spirit River.
Silverhand should run well now he has his ground too.
March 17, 2010 at 12:46 #283249Couldn’t resist a punt just now on ruby’s ride, Deutschland – this damned Coral Cup always sucks me in to back a few!
March 17, 2010 at 16:07 #283337all good things come to an end. Wishfull moving powerfully when coming down.
Henderson finally, lol.
Well done winners
March 17, 2010 at 16:10 #283339Well JDV was close but I stupidly backed him to win instead of place or ew…….had Michael Flips ew however…..Spirit River worthy winner, had some good form in big handicaps and had a relatively low weight which is crucial.
March 17, 2010 at 16:10 #283340On Raglan Road the one to take out of this.
Travelled well for a long way on his comeback from a potentially life-threatening injury.
Should pick up a nice prize.
March 17, 2010 at 16:12 #283341Isn’t this the race that Nicky Henderson can’t win and 5 year olds never win? Congratulations to everyone who backed Spirit River, though.
March 17, 2010 at 16:13 #283343Picked up an e/w on Michael Flips at 33s – evens for me on the day now in terms of winnings/lost money.
My main bet of the day to come in the next, Sanctuaire. No Bumper bet for me.March 17, 2010 at 16:24 #283349That will do nicely
March 17, 2010 at 16:28 #283351Very quiet on the cheltenham threads today.
Is that because it’s the 2nd day and the excitement of the first day is tempered by the realisation of everyone that Cheltenham Festival winners are extremely hard to come by?
It’s a 4-day meet; i’ve often had a better last 2 days.
1 winner, 1 e/w so far.March 17, 2010 at 16:58 #283354

May he continue to run as unpredictable as that at 7/1 for a place
