    If Constitution Hill comes on even 7lbs for yesterday’s run, the others might as well stay at home in March.

    Not necessarily. It was his first run for a year. He might bounce.

    It was a good performance and he deserves to be favourite for the Champion Hurdle. However, I wouldn’t want to back him at odds on. He has only beaten Burdett Road by 9 lengths. A horse he would have laughed at when at his peak.

    He has had issues and is no way guaranteed to line up in March. If he does, he will probably win. But I don’t think he will be as great a certainty as he was in 2022.

    I don’t think CH will bounce myself as that’s more prevalent after a whole season off without running.

    Burdett Road has improved a lot and was only 6L behind Kyprios in the Long Distance Cup at Ascot on Champions day.
