Was impressed by Tataniano at the April meeting at Cheltenham currently around 25’s in the Arkle…. Not beyond the realms that Ruby could yet be aboard come The Festival….
September 4, 2009 at 13:02 #247045Had a small bet on
Portals Toy
in the World Hurdle – he’s likely to be campaigned over here after the Enghien/Auteuil season ends at the end of November (both trainer and jockey have mentioned it after his two latest runs so fingers crossed a good run at Ascot/Haydock will see him go to the WH).

Have backed him myself as well. Hope Willie aims him at the top two mile races this year. Should take some beating at stiff tracks on heavy ground – could well be the new Nickname.
Realistically he’d need some cut at Cheltenham to be in the shake up but Big Zeb showed at Punchestown that Master Minded is far from unbeatable.
September 25, 2009 at 20:19 #250101Yeah, I’ve been following him since he won the Pierse Hurdle. And the fact he has improved so much since he has joined Willie is a great sign. It really is only him and Big Zeb on the 2m chasing front and I’d like to see him go for the Tingle Creek but Willie will probably keep him at home for most of the winter.
I think he’ll stay 3m eventualy but he’s certainly an exciting prospect for the winter months!September 25, 2009 at 23:50 #250127So it’s the horse and not Ronnie then?

Tazbar for the RSA? Can’t see that happening unless Keith Revely has had a change of heart. Apparantly his fav horse it took him a long time to get him back in the winners enclosure. My understainding was he would stick to hurdling and may be dropped back in trip.
He doesn’t really look the chasing type but that was said about Cab on Taget so who knows.
Zemsky I remeber from Perth He was all but beaten in a poor race that day when the leader fell. Not one of Nicky’s leading lights by a very long way and is more likely to be running at Plumpton again when the festival comes round.
You’ve got some bottle on you Grassy but if one of them wins the RSA there can be only one..King Grassy has a good ring to it
