I thought my bets on Goshen last year were galling but that was nothing compared to the Triumph of 1995…
I’d backed Dr Leunt e/w at 50-1 and again at 66-1, then recorded the race for watching when home from work. It was easy to follow Dr Leunt even though he wasn’t mentioned by the commentator (Simon Holt?) He was going nicely on the rail in mid-field when another horse forced him through the rail, almost stopping him. He got going again and rejoined the track having lost at least a dozen lengths, then chased down the winner, Kissair, to be only 2 1/2 lengths behind in second at the finish. Of course, despite the fact that it wasn’t his fault and he would have won easily, he was disqualified for taking the wrong course so I never even got paid out on my each way part!March 2, 2021 at 11:30 #1526521I have bet the following :
Shishkin ( Arkle )
Honeysuckle ( Champion Hurdle )
Chacun Pour Soi ( Champion Chase )
Monkfish (3m novice chase ) NAP
Thyme Hill ( Stayers’ Hurdle )
Al Boum Photo ( Gold Cup ) NBGambling Only Pays When You're Winning
March 2, 2021 at 12:55 #1526550My bets so far, some were placed during, or just after, the last festival, some have been more recent. I’m sure there’ll be more. There are also some multiples.
Dreal Deal (Supreme)
Shishkin (Arkle)
Honeysuckle (Champion Hurdle)
Monkfish (TAFKARSA)
Put The Kettle On/First Flow (Champion Chase)
Envoi Allen (any race)
Champ/Frodon (Gold Cup)Twitter=@PGHenn
So don't run, just like the others always do

March 13, 2021 at 22:01 #1529408Champ Hurdle – Song For Someone
Champ Chase – Cilaos Emery
Gold Cup – A Plus Tard3 races and 3 bets. Cannot be arsed with the rest of the crap. Will just watch these races and none of the others. Will be disappointed if I don’t have at least 3 winners here.
The only plus with ITV broadcasting the festival is that Countdown won’t be effected on channel 4.
March 13, 2021 at 22:33 #1529410Song For Someone will miss the Champion Hurdle.
March 13, 2021 at 22:53 #1529411Jason The Militant is maybe my second choice then. Don’t really fancy any of the runners though. May go for the dart method here.
March 13, 2021 at 23:28 #1529412He doesn’t go Robbo.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!March 18, 2021 at 13:42 #1530669On page 5 here mention had CHANTRY HOUSE 25/1 for Marsh chase all I say at bloody last a winner this week
March 18, 2021 at 17:17 #1530775I’ve had a profitable week its fair to say.
March 18, 2021 at 22:38 #1530872Tuesday was okay, Wednesday was terrible and today started terrible as well, but The Shunter and Mount Ida saved the day. Especially Mount Ida was a surpise after the first mile. Overall disappointing so far.
The Mares Hurdle was a big bummer with Appreciate It (6/4) – Shishkin (4/5) – Honeysuckle (5/2) and Concertista (6/4) as a 40/1 acca just denied on the line.
I’ve backed Native River a few times a very big prices, even some 100/1. So he can make a very profitable week, but with the drying ground he only has little chance.
