I’m taking a punt on Thundering Nights here at 14/1. The angle for me is she looks to me like a strong stayer over 10f and should improve for the step up in trip which she hasn’t had it. The mare stayed 1m6 and she handles soft and heavy very well so if its soft or sticky ground it’ll suit her down to the ground. She clearly has to improve, but everyone would’ve said that about Even So before the Oaks.
I am happy accept the Curragh run as below par, but as i think give in the ground is crucial, i don’t think she was given too hard a time.

I found this the trickiest race to work out. I can find reasons why most of them won’t win
but a stand out winner is not on my radar. So it’s more the odds that have swayed me towards
Frankly Darling 4 places 18/1. I know that Frankie has ditched her for Mehdaayih who
hasn’t really impressed me, I’m just hoping that FD can find some of the form that showed
her up so well back in June. I think the ground will help her here and I think she’s only
drifted out to 18/1 because Frankie has opted for Mehdaayih. I think she’s get a place at
least.
