I was all for joining Greenasgrass and Steeplechasing with an ew bet on Point Lonsdale, but the 66-1 is a distant memory. I wish both of you luck with that one. I’ve bet Royal Rhyme at 16-1, but if he doesn’t win, I hope that Point Lonsdale wins for you

Finally made the right decision but really this should/could have been made much earlier given the ground (before the rain hit) was never going to suit him – rain is bucketing down as we speak and now the hurdle course has already been opened up it will only get more testing.

My earlier in the day idea of what the horses might do will probably go up in smoke the way the races have gone and the ground ;o)

Can’t have King Of Steel anywhere near the first three and I also think that Point Lonsdale shouldn’t have the class to be thereabouts as his form is a bit short of the required standard. But, if you’re on him at 66/1 then good luck as this seems great value.

I’ll take a chance on Dubai Honour and reverse him in a forecast with Bay Bridge.

    Good luck everyone.

If the going would’ve been genuine good-soft on the inner course then Mostahdaf would’ve had a reasonable chance of winning without being at his best – and without it harming his future prospects, LD. Hence declaring.

Whereas on soft ground there’s much less chance of winning and (whatever the result) more chance of hindering his Breeders Cup prospects – hence connections pulling him out.
