Think Riaan can win a fair pot this year, and think he can outrun the odds in The Troytown.
Riaan 22’s EW 6 Places
November 24, 2024 at 14:08 #1713911Hopeful of a big run from Grangeclare West in The John Durkan. Main bet of the weekend, and think I should get decent run for my money
Grangeclare West 18’s EW
November 29, 2024 at 12:58 #1714316Cracking card at Newbury today, and betting every race. Loser in the last with Brookie, but one I’ll definitely be betting again.
Needed Brookie to hit fourth, but looked as if he got fifth. Expecting a similar story with main bet Flight Deck today. I’d love him to hit second, but a very close third is probably how it’ll pan out
Long Distance Hurdle – Flight Deck 40’s EW
November 30, 2024 at 14:04 #1714433Never really looked likely yesterday at any stage.
Three proper favourites today in The Coral Gold Cup, and main selection would be Midnight River, but could make a case for the other pair
Falcon Eight an interesting runner over hurdles today, and whatever happens today, I’d love to see him at Leopardstown over Christmas or in February
Coral Gold Cup – Midnight River 20’s
December 7, 2024 at 14:33 #1714928Main hope today is Conkwell Legend. Think he’ll appreciate the test, and just hoping his jumping holds up
London National – Conkwell Legend 25’s EW 4Pls
December 8, 2024 at 13:45 #1715005Decent effort from Conkwell, and I’ll definitely give him another try.
Flower of Scotland the other main bet of weekend, and I’m laying a bit off on her before the off for a small profit whatever happens.
Appreciate It and Banbridge both bet in Hilly Way too, but I’m actually hoping they’ve got other priorities as the season progresses.
I swerved Sandy Thomson more or less last year, as the warning signals were there early doors in the season, and would’ve been a very costly season for people who stuck with him. I’m hoping that Flower of Scotland can get him back on track today, but still happy to get the stake back
Flower of Scotland 20’s (Laying Stake before Race)
December 14, 2024 at 12:41 #1715412Holly of interest today at Cheltenham, especially with her back over hurdles. Hard to second guess her, but she’s ran well off this mark before
BET MGM Mares – Holly EW5Pls/40’s
December 24, 2024 at 22:08 #1716267Banbridge my big hope for Boxing Day. Free race for me, as laid stake back the other day, and small profit on top, as was intending putting that the way of Hewick.
Been a huge fan for ages, and would mean a lot if he could do it (edit, no longer any profit on the race, as bet another with the Banbridge profit, free race only)Few others on the go, but thought Cloonairna worth a mention at Leopardstown on Handicap Debut too (edited 33’s to 35’s)
1345 Leopardstown – Cloonairna 35’s EW 6Pls
King George – Banbridge 40’s (Laid 6.4’s)December 25, 2024 at 19:35 #1716292Hopefully, Banbridge will see you reap a big payout. Good luck!
December 26, 2024 at 12:45 #1716350Hope so mate, everything crossed here.
December 26, 2024 at 15:26 #1716408Banbridge is a spectacular pick, Bobby! January 12th 2024! Awesome. At 40s.
December 27, 2024 at 00:49 #1716484Unbelievable mate, just so happy, and made my Christmas. Always rated him, and great to see how he did it
Icing on the cake was the EW on Cloonairna at 40’s
Bets all over the place again today, and main focus on the two big handicap chases
Val Dancer my big hope at Chepstow, while I’m treble handed at Leopardstown
The Paddy Power one of my favourite races, and I’d love one of them to do it. Main focus Antepost were Midnight Our Fred and Nick Rockett, but the market suggests the former more likely, and I might even end up beating my Antepost 16’s on Rockett
Welsh National – Val Dancer 66’s EW
Paddy Power – Midnight Our Fred 25’s EW5Pls
Paddy Power – Nick Rockett 16’sDecember 28, 2024 at 22:47 #1716907Hope all well with you Bob, and I hope that betting aside, you had a good Christmas.
Keep up the good work pal
I’m back in the land of the living for a few weeks, so I’ll try to offer up a few along the way
December 30, 2024 at 12:10 #1717034Same to you Mark, hope it was a good one
I put up Marettimo back in October, and he never really figured.
Swerved him the next two times, missing a decent priced EW in the process, but bet him last time at Fakenham. He was just out the money, but I was happy with him. Happy enough to put him back up today.
Main problem I had putting him up, was the the price had gone, and although on the drift, he might not reach it. I’ll put him up at current best priced 14’s
Pushing my luck with two, but I expect to have a shortlist of a dozen from the entries today for The Veterans Final, and I had Saint Xavier on my radar for that. Runs at Haydock, and I have to chance him
1510 Haydock – Saint Xavier 12’s
1527 Taunton – Marettimo 14’sDecember 31, 2024 at 08:08 #1717098Great to see all the big price winners Bobby. Ur in white hot form.
Class is permanent
Keep fleecing those bookies
December 31, 2024 at 19:52 #1717169Thanks Ken, appreciate that, been a good few weeks, now to keep it going. Happy New Year to you when it comes
Last run of Midnight River was a concern, and this should tell us whether he’s came back from the layoff, the same horse or not
I’ve had an early bet on Turbo at Fairyhouse, but reckon I’ll be able to beat the odds
1315 Fairyhouse – Turbo 33’s EW 6Pls Exchange Chase – Midnight River 20’s
January 5, 2025 at 12:19 #1717566Hopeful of a good comeback from Supersundae. Bet him for Turners and Albert Bartlett, but he could just as easily be a Martin Pipe horse. Tough race for him to come back, and not reading too much into the market support
Lawlors of Naas – Supersundae 25’s EW
