The race rather fell apart; B d’air falling + bringing down Sharjah, + Apple’s Jade obviously not running to form. But the winner was v impressive and probably would have won anyway.

Well done Autumnal, that was a smashing pick from you, I hope you won a fair amount off of that.

I’ve seen nothing from Buveur D’Air since 2017 to suggest he would have beaten Espoir D’Allen today but we’ll never know for sure. Apple’s Jade bitterly disappointing and rather ruined the day for me. Think the winner will be unfairly overlooked in future and having enjoyed a light campaign should run again this season.

Can’t have the GE stable worry Ginge, Felix Desjy run very well and a lot of money came for him indicating they know the yard is fine. Just didn’t have the big chances outwith Apples Jade today?

Delta Work & Battleoverdoyen will be the test tomorrow – big guns.

Winner was good but this race was so under-whelming. Apples Jade either in season again or didn’t recover from the bad error at the second. Buv hit the deck & Laurina is nowhere near as good as they thought.

Great run from MELON again in this race , shame BD came down so early , would surely have beaten the hype horses though taking nothing away from the winner

Brilliant result for the trainer, jockey and horse
love to see an underdog upset the apple cart from time to time in the big races
A shame Buveur Dair came a cropper, he’s usually very slick
Laurina was a bit short for me and what the hell happened to Apples Jade
if only Elliot had got Samcro back on track in time
