Could run circles round myself trying to split two proper favourites in Coko Beach and Galvin, while two other regulars of mine in Conflated and Delta Work, just make this way too difficult to narrow one down
Decided though to go with their former stablemate Escaria Ten. Hasn’t won in four years, and got nowhere near the level I expected him to, a couple of years back. I thought he shaped ok last time though, and with that under his belt, and down another few pounds, think there’s real potential for him to outrun his odds.
66’s just now, I’ll bet him tomorrow if not declared elsewhere at the weekend, with main bet to follow if declared

November 13, 2024 at 23:24 #1712579Mister Coffey breaking his maiden tag in this would be the most “mister coffey” thing ever. He’s pretty short on the balance of things, but I’ve got to have a go.
Fameaftertheglory looks the danger having gone well over the banks previously. Could be one with Aintree ambitions.
November 14, 2024 at 12:03 #1712591Can’t believe I’m deserting Conflated, but I’ll stick with him as the season goes on.
Slipway is a horse who can put it together now and then, and I’ve started chipping away at him, though hopeful I can beat current 14’s.
Course is an unknown, and could maybe do with him a couple of pounds lower, but trip should be alright, and he’s definitely worth an in interest to me.
Slipway 14’s
November 14, 2024 at 18:31 #1712619I’ve backed Conflated but the price concerns me , considering he’s the class act he does look to big …
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
November 14, 2024 at 19:35 #1712626What a complete nonsense this is. I’d say they won’t want Conflated to actually win because if this is the aim for March he’ll be rated about 170 but its probably irrelevant as he’ll be getting top weight whatever they do and its a limited handicap in March which means almost everything else that turns up will be running about two stone wrong because they are miles inferior to a horse of that calibre. They should have put an upper rating limit to stop these grade 1 horses running against plodders just to get a win on the board. The French raider at half Conflated’s age was probably a hard one to get a handle on for the UK handicapper, he might be a little bit interesting but he’s down as 17lbs wrong so that needs to be a massive rick by the handicapper if he’s going close.
November 15, 2024 at 13:11 #1712749Not my cup of tea these races but the other TV races aren’t that appealing. Sweet David may well be well out of the weights but I think he could go well.

November 15, 2024 at 15:07 #1712767Will the stewards have Elliott in to explain the non-trier rule to him?
Clear what that was about. Finish as far behind as possible to get Conflated’s weight down, as a protest about it being a handicap.
But Elliott is too big to criticise, so they won’t.
Blatant.
(Not had a bet before you accuse me of talking through my pocket).

Felix de Giles rode that brilliantly aside from the drama near the end, keep him on the shortest route all the way round chopping and changing the side of the pack he rode on.The more I know the less I understand.
November 15, 2024 at 15:19 #1712773Well done RTB.
Am glad I didn’t have a bet as it would probably have been the run out.
Winner won with something in hand though.
