Keeping myself entertained by posting any and all of my AW bets throughout the winter up until finals day.
Monday 11/11/24
Newcastle 1900 7f 0-65 – Turbo Command £15ew 15/2
Half a length 3rd at Southwell last time (0-65) has worked out nicely with the runner up winning a 0-68 contest next time. Pretty consistent at 7f-1m and has plenty of good form at Newcastle. Trainer 2-6 last fortnight so this could be the right time to latch on.
November 11, 2024 at 16:21 #1712472Good luck mate I was at Kempton last Monday had 4 winners out of 5
I be going to Kempton on 4th of December
I enjoy AW racingMadam Celeste 5/2

Peace ManAt Newcastle on Saturday but no prices available yet
November 11, 2024 at 17:09 #1712474Same here Darren, I think I’d have to hibernate if it didn’t exist. Feel free to keep a diary of sorts on this thread, no matter the wager.

Weds

240 – Iken 12.5ew @ 11/2

5 free bet trebleNovember 13, 2024 at 14:25 #1712552Another horrible bet on Madam, no need for it.
Don’t go chasing boys and girls. Well not till you’ve had a second look and used your brain stems.£150 top 3 finish 10/11 Phoenix Moon 350
Might have some catching up to do after today.
November 13, 2024 at 15:25 #1712553Mate I was on Belezza when she beat Madam celeste in listed race at Dundalk. And thought she win today but disappointed
However happy Doom won at 4/1 in the next race very happy with her
November 13, 2024 at 17:14 #1712560I didn’t like it at all Darren. From the price to the trip doubts I have no idea why I made that decision to back her.
Anyway, all’s well that ends well, I really did like Phoenix Moon in the last albeit I was concerned about the faffing about from the starters taking 6 minutes to get one horse in.
Anyway back in the game, I’ll say I’ll learn from the silly mistakes but I know that’s not true.£143.86 profit on the day
+£68.26 overall
November 14, 2024 at 11:57 #1712589Peace Man 100/30 Power

Any bets for the weekend mate
November 14, 2024 at 18:51 #1712620Will have a look at the Saturday stakes races in a bit, got one for the AW tomorrow + had a few quid in the group 2 Bahrain trophy on LEAD ARTIST 11/4 and SOVEREIGN SPIRIT 50/1 but will only count AW horses for this particular thread.
Wolverhampton
700 – Ciotog 12.5ew @ 5/1November 14, 2024 at 20:07 #1712633Followed you in with Peace Man Darren, also liked Daysofourlives in the same race. Hoping Night Raider can follow up his fast time win lto for the 348.
November 14, 2024 at 23:19 #1712655Good luck Chivers with your new Thread and like Darren I also think Peace Man can help you pick up some early losses on Saturday.
I backed him at Newmarket last time when he just got beat by Bolster on the line. Still think it was a dead heat
The AW should suit his style and he looked marvellous in the paddock and hasn’t gone in his coat. Beautifully bred by Kingman out of a RIP Van Winkle Mare.
Best of luck …
like you the AW keeps me going through to the Craven Meeting
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 15, 2024 at 07:02 #1712670Thanks Jac, Gosden team flying at the moment, hopeful that Lead Artist can carry that on in Bahrain today at 435. I imagine you’ll have a keen eye on the Applebum inmate.
November 15, 2024 at 09:26 #1712684Yes your right Chivers I have just taken 5/1 Nations Pride to win in Bahrain this afternoon. He has won at Group 1 level and over the distance. Appleby not had the success this year as previous year’s but I’ve followed this horse and hope he produces his best today, 5/1 seems a good price too.
I have also been following Lead Artist but just have that worry of the extra furlong and feel he’s slightly outclassed here although he could be improving bring just a 3yo, we’ll find out later.

I only have a small freebet on Nations Pride so fingers crossed 🤞 it’s going to be an interesting one to watch. Best of luck
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 15, 2024 at 19:10 #1712786Glad Ciotog placed, I wanted to cash out but no option, wasn’t convinced.
+£68.26 it stays.
Tomorrow, two AW meetings and just the two bets, both in the listed races at Newcastle. Backed both on Thursday but have only just put on the double with shorter odds. A few bets at Cheltenham as well of course.
Newcastle
315 – Peace Man 20ew @ 3/1
348 – Night Raider 15ew @ 9/2
7.5ew doubleNovember 16, 2024 at 00:28 #1712820Lead Artist ran well in Bahrain Chivers, not sure what happened to Nations Pride he ran a stinker.
Looking forward to seeing Peace Man again tomorrow, good luck with him and Night Raider.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 16, 2024 at 07:48 #1712828Horses for courses. I didn’t think there were any excuses for Nations Pride last year either. Spirit Dancer v Lead Artist may have been a different outcome at Newmarket.
