Hope it’s better than last year’s. Racing through the streets of Liverpool was just ridiculous looking to me.

What total crap, this is supposed to make more people watch the race?? More seriously its a forgettable advert, I wonder how much money they wasted on it

Also quite enjoyed last years as well. No point watching an advert with the intention of not enjoying it. Some people will just rag on everything C4 related until the National is back on the BBC. Which is a shame, really.Reminds me of Derek Tommo Thompson trying to explain how steeplechases started on the old C4 Racing, but at least he made me laugh, this is just pointless
The few milliseconds of ‘spire’ to ‘steeple’ footage (inchage?) were actually quite good and simply expanded alone would have made a nice advert
Unfortunately the overall impression is just the wearily familiar ‘in your face’ ‘extreme’ macho nonsense that broadcasters seem to think must accompany the build up to sporting events these days
Does the ridiculously caricatured Paddy really say ‘focken’ or do my jaded ears deceive me?

Couldn’t be bothered to listen again to find out. Shot themselves in the foot a little if they can only show it after 9.00.
As a piece of television liked it, but would it make me think I have to watch the Grand National – probably not.
