October 29, 2014 at 10:47 #493707Used to do very well at this meeting but do not have the time to study nowadays:-(
Instead I have looked at trends and gone for some EW action, with 2 big fancies and 2 good looking EW shots:
Filly&Mare Turf: Emollient at 16s with Joes is massive, she will go off single figure price IMO and is my main bet.
Classic: Toast of New York looks a knocking bet at 14s.
Juvenile Fillies: Tight but an EW chance is taken with By The Moon at 10s..
Sprint: Very strong trends race and at 12s Indianapolis looks a good EW bet.
Covered with Win doubles, EW trebles and EW acca but the horse I like the most is Emollient!
Good Luck Krist and all who have a go

October 31, 2014 at 21:34 #493975Very impressed by Hootenanay. Wasnt sure about him over a mile but clearly he is very smart.
Am i only saddo in on on a Friday night?SHL
October 31, 2014 at 21:41 #493978Nope, I’m in the saddo club!
Poor old Imperia was probably the first in a long line of horses to get murdered up the rail this weekend. Can’t believe Hootenanny won that – didn’t see him possibly staying on runnning style, previous form or pedigree.

KNow what you mean, but then look at Goldencent in the last race. Seemed to go off like a frightened hare but got home.

October 31, 2014 at 22:20 #493990What a horse that Goldencents is. We all thought he was doomed when Vicar’s In Trouble took him on, but he just kept finding and finding.
Tapiture dogged it a bit and should’ve picked him up imo. His head went in the air and he tried to hang in behind when he should’ve gone past. Perhaps Goldencents is such an ‘alpha’ horse that he didn’t want to eyeball him though.
October 31, 2014 at 22:22 #493992Sadly I’m going to miss the next two as my shift is over, but Osaila is my NAP of the day up next. I just found out that she isn’t on the LASIX juice, so that’s tempered my enthusiasm a bit.
Good luck if you’re playing SHL.
October 31, 2014 at 23:36 #494000Your choice ran on well but never looked like winning. The winner was good and got all the breaks. I have a few bob on close hatch at good price in the distaff.

October 31, 2014 at 23:54 #494001Fairplay to Lady Eli – she’s beaten all the right horses and must be some prospect if she stays fit next year.
Possibly apart from in Hootenanny’s race, all the true class acts have come to the fore and won their races on merit. Untapable and Goldencents certainly did it the hard way.
November 1, 2014 at 09:34 #494050Lady Eli was the highlight of the night the way see travelled was effortless, she has some engine. Sunset Glow is no slouch and the noises when the Americans were at Royal Ascot was that she was better than stablemate Hootenanny and yeah she came second in that meeting aswell……

November 1, 2014 at 13:11 #494118Has one of Shared Belief’s legs fallen off? He’s drifted from 13-8 best price on Thursday to 5-2 now.

Perennial Breeders’ Cup flop Fed Biz badly let his form down last night, but it does seem like a major overreaction if that’s all there is to it.
November 1, 2014 at 16:49 #494147I’ve gone right off the Breeder’s Cup now that it’s overblown at two days and with twelve races on today’s card alone.
If I was going to back one it would be Flintshire after his good second in The Arc. He and Telescope should like the ground but the difference for me is the French horse coming in after his best run of the season, whereas Telescope put his best two efforts in during the summer at Ascot in the Royal and King George meetings.
Flintshire @ 11/4 or better
Dank has a good chance but comes here after a poorer run of form than last season and 9/4 is a shade under what I think she should be given that fact.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
November 1, 2014 at 16:55 #494150Dank
and
Telescope
are my two bankers of the night, so hopefully Ryan Moore will enhance his reputation!
Dank
only won a weak race last year, but this lot aren’t much better and she has a plum draw. Stephanie’s Kitten is best of the home team and has to come from the car park.
Telescope
has more raw pace than
Flintshire
, which will be a big asset at Santa Anita. His run behind Taghrooda with all the age allowances now looks very handy indeed.
I’m inclined to take
Toronado
on in the Mile as he can get outpaced in his races and there is a bit of a bias to front-runners at Santa Anita right now. Not sure what to oppose him with as
Anodin
also needs to weave through.
Mustajeeb
gets my tentative vote from a good draw with his tactical pace.
Good luck to all having a dabble.

I’d also worry about Toronado having the raw speed under the conditions at this track. He took time to assert at Royal Ascot and I’d be against him under circumstances more suited to Ballyregan Bob.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
