Kyprios racing career over
VF x
May 27, 2025 at 11:38 #1731345Not a fan of staying horses but a record of 17 wins from 21 starts is some statistic. I am sure he will get a royal retirement.
The more I know the less I understand.
May 27, 2025 at 11:42 #1731347One hopes he’s not going to be a NH stallion……….
May 27, 2025 at 11:46 #1731348Glad to see him retired in one piece, and hopefully he is as successful as a sire as he was on the racecourse.
Due to an aggravation of an old ringbone lesion we have decided to take no chances with Kyprios and although he is currently sound and doing well the decision has been made to retire him from racing.
May 30, 2025 at 10:04 #1731518My Bad Lucy (for an unspecified quiet life outside racing), River Tyne (for broodmare purposes) and Churchills Boy (to his owners) all confirmed as retired in the past week on Nick Gifford’s Facebook feed.

I’m delighted to say Thomas Darby has been retired and will have an amazing retirement with Holly Tetsill who has devoted her life to TD over the last 7 years!
A winner of 7/27 starts, including a long distance hurdle at Newbury. He was also placed in 2 Grade 1s reaching a mark of 158 at his peak!
Happy retirement Thomas 💙

June 11, 2025 at 16:17 #1732734Not sure how this one slipped through the net, but forum favourite Music Society was added to the BHA’s non-racing agreements list in February!
Wishing him a long and happy retirement.

June 23, 2025 at 12:34 #1734492Just read the news of Music Society’s retirement and wanted to post up this picture of ‘himself’ for Nathan that I took at a very wet Newmarket 2nd November 2024 when he romped in at 12/1.
Shame connections didn’t reply Nathan but hope this picture cheers you up. Jac
❤️ Happy Retirement Music Society ❤️
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 5, 2025 at 13:48 #1735539I note from ‘Home Schooling’ on ITV Racing that sprint handicapper Mr Wagyu has been retired. Winner of 15 of his 96 races, top BHA rating was 106, often in the mix in big handicap sprints, his biggest wins were the Scurry Handicap at the Curragh and the Tokyo Trophy at Epsom in 2022, and the Consolation Stewards Cup in 2021.
July 5, 2025 at 15:31 #1735557I noticed that too Rob. Delighted to see him retiring sound.
July 5, 2025 at 19:13 #1735577Theatre Guide last raced in 2021 and has enjoyed an active retirement. His owner has announced that he will no longer be ridden though and will enjoy his final years in a field. He’s only 18 so hope this doesn’t mean he has an underlying health issue. He was always one of my favourites.
July 6, 2025 at 21:24 #1735666From Facebook Julie Camacho racing – Our 2023 Ayr Gold Cup winner Significantly has been retired. Bought for £50k, other highlights included 2nd in both the Portland & Coral Sprint Trophy, earning £162k for owner Niall O’Keeffe. He hasn’t been at his brilliant best recently, but retires happy & healthy with our daughter Sam, who rode him in training and has always adored him. He gave us lots of good days and has become a real yard favourite. Happy retirement Sig, I’m sure we will hear all about it!

July 8, 2025 at 16:06 #1735738That picture of Music Society reminds me of a picture I have of The Tetrarch.
