I believe she has two more runs in Melbourne this campaign with the next being in the William Reid on Friday week at the Moonee Valley night meeting.

No emotion in my judgement of her,and past 3 years of age Manikato couldnt get a mile he was purely a sprinter apart from a 3yo campaign, similar to Mahogany who won the VRC derby then was basically a 1000mt specialist later. My father trained for 50 years, my brother trained for a lot of years and the eldest brother was a jock for a lot of years,so i have enough hands on experience not to listen to hyperbole.I have prints of Manikato on my wall he along with Kingston Town were the best horses i had seen, then i suppose we had Makybe Diva.Take this point have a look at the Newmarket video,no sprinter in that quality of race has ever has the rest of the field being ridden along at the half way mark. Also Vain was beaten a couple of times whereas she hasnt been yet.So barring injury after her SYD/BRIS campaign she should be 14/14.She also doesnt have to run a mile to be the best sprinter around, she may get a mile who knows, but running and winning over a mile is irrelevant, they pay $600 000 to the winner in the 1200mt Newmarket not the 1600mt Newmarket!

LOL. I worked at the Hoysted stables in Mentone myself. I saw Manikato daily. That is real hands on not something my brother or father did. Manikato won the same 1400m race for years so get your facts remotely straight. Manikato’s main problem after his 3yo year was soundness. He was often very lightly trained and therefore reaching the level of fitness required for a mile race was beyond him. His career was remarkable for a horse that basically went round on two legs and a five week prep. All that said I have made it clear I already believe Black Caviar to be the better pure sprinter. Manikato wouldn’t have been any easy beat for her though.

They all get beaten sometime. Just because Vain was doesn’t make him any lesser animal. He certainly murdered fields with the same ease as Black Caviar. Vain won 12/14 and was placed second in the other two. Perhaps if Black Caviar tried a mile she’d taste defeat fairly soon as well. Let’s see Black Caviar win Gr1’s over three days of the same Flemington Cup Carnival. Let’s see her do it carrying 5kg over WFA in a Gr1 mile. Nope, we wont be seeing that!

What was the point of stating the Newmarket prizemoney? They pay just as well for a Doncaster or Epsom over a mile. Your argument is irrelevant and futile. My whole point was that Black Caviar would not have made mince meat of the two best sprinters Australia has ever seen. They both deserve a lot more respect than such a dismissive and ultimately unprovable statement.

You would have most likely been picking up horeshit at Hoysteds! Do you know the difference between a horse scalping and speedy cutting,i was the foreman to both my brother and father!!! It shows how much you know,1400 is a sprint know all!!! Tosser!!!

Anyone that works with horses picks up fecal matter. What’s your point other than a disgruntled never made it son of a trainer?

LMAO and 1400m is an intermediate distance not specifically a sprint. Many would argue it’s a specialist trip all on its own. Did your father train near Cranbourne before moving to Queensland by any chance? The forum world is a small place and you have such a familiar tone.

Is your horse getting down on its bumpers btw? Bandage him up with a little rubber protection. Ask me more than 1+1 as a brain test.

As expected you have as much respect for other posters as you do Manikato and Vain.

Disgruntled never made it son of a horse trainer :) My we are drawing a long bow for someone you dont know :P And scalping and speedy cutting have nothing to do with a horse going down on their bumpers! And most times a bar across the hind shoes will work better for a horse going down on the bumpers as they still cut through the elastoplast that is taping the foam rubber and tyre tube rubber to the bumpers.Scalping is when a horse hits its hind leg, usually the pastern area and at times the sesamoid.A speedy cut is is when a horse hits its hind hock, foam rubber, tyre tube and elastoplast work better on those rather than the bumpers. And no my father never trained at Cranbourne and a sprint is regarded as 1000mt to 1400mt.

Oh and you are right you will never see BC winning 3 races in a week! like Vain did,Peter Moody will look after her better than that,as Vain retired due to injury after only 14 starts! Maybe the 3 in a week was a catalyst in that!!! And yes my failed life afforded me 6 weeks holiday in Europe last year, off there again this year,as my wife is from Nottingham, planned in the hope that i may see So You Think go around at Ascot. As i happen to like the English enough to marry one.I posted my previous opinions without malice, then you come back with venom prior to my uttering the ‘T’ word :( Then i am a disgruntled failure :) I only happened on this site by looking up BC,as well as loving Australian racing,i love UK racing,my point was to let the fans know that BC is a FREAK nothing like any horse from Australia that they had seen.Oh and i am going to a disguntled failures conference for 9 days in Bali in May (holiday) :D.Ok as you asked here is an easy one,1,what is the purpose of a crossover nose band on a horse and 2, how would you prevent a stone bruise for a horse? They are simple, you shouldnt have a prob with those. Also to prevent an itch and to also give a gleam to a horses coat you can put a cap full of Kerosene in half a bucket of water and rub it against the grain of a horses coat then towel down with the grain of the coat, they will never get any skin itches or diseases and they shine like a new pin.

I had every intention of avoiding your ignorance but your purile comments require some response. Nobody cares how much money you have or where you travel. This is not a measuring contest. I didn’t answer your first question I tossed a brick at it. Such was the childish nature of the pursuit.

Seriously, who do you think you are? Go back and read all posts clearly and see if you comprehend english. I doubt you will be able to. You have proven nothing other than the fact your opinion is all that counts to you.

When you first arrived here you may have noticed the sign said "for intelligent discussion". If you ever wish to direct a comment in my direction again make a minimal effort to be intelligent. It will make a change from the path you’ve chosen.

I shall now ignore the path of this tit for tat idiocy completely. I apologise completely and unreservedly to every other forum member for this boorish off topic foray.

Firstly i dont have a great deal of money,i have a mortgage in Perth,i work now 8 on 6 off 96hrs,last year i was working 168hr per fortnight in mining,i worked hard for my holidays,i only informed you of my travels due to you insinuating that i was a disgruntled failure. Now our UK friends whom i respect greatly are probably getting rather bored with our tiff, they are more interested in the Cheltenham carnival. As i said in my lounge greeting horse racing was much more fun,but doesnt pay as well.Plus i know you are a bit of a wordsmith hence i left in some incorrect punctuation to piss you off :D Now you know i not only know a bit about horses but am intelligent as well :D :D :D :D I also fly 52 times per year to work and back just flew in tonight so am able to relax for a few days.

I’ve only just heard about this horse. Can you guys forget the bickering and just keep the information coming through about her career…I need someone to feel the gap left by Zenyatta when she retired! All info/links will be pounced upon by myself! She sounds amazing.
