12-1 Silviniaco for me too. I just cannot see him out of the places in this.
November 15, 2016 at 16:19 #1272775Seriously tempted by God’s Own at 20s EW but suspect he’ll be taken out if ground is soft. Have taken some 10s EW Seeyouatmidnight (hoping he doesn’t live up to his name)
November 15, 2016 at 16:45 #1272776However, both of ours at 66s and 50s, have to be worth a shout at
those pricesYep, a Million is quite a big carrot to be offered for connections. Added another bet for any horse to win all 3 @ 20’s. At least i will be 33.3% of the way there after Saturday

Backed worse 20-1 shots than that before
November 15, 2016 at 17:00 #1272777Looks like a bet to watch rather than part with cash, but I think if on song, Coneygree will be hard to beat.
November 17, 2016 at 09:22 #1272981Keeping my fingers crossed they get Richard Johnson to ride Coneygree.

Aiden Coleman has been declared to ride Coneygree but if Menorah is pulled out due to the ground Richard Johnson will switch over.
I can’t wait for this race. Three of my favourite horses in training running so hopefully Coneygree wins from Seeyouatmidnight with Cue Cardiff third.
November 17, 2016 at 13:59 #1273007No harm to Aidan Coleman, he’s a decent jockey, but I hope it comes up soft enough for Menorah to
be withdrawn and allows Richard Johnson to get the ride on Coneygree. He knows the horse well, won
the Denman Chase on him last year, and schooled him earlier this week. As good a horse as Menorah is,
I’m pretty sure Johnson would much rather be sitting on Coneygree. Philip Hobbs is a decent man, and
as much as he’d know Johnson’s preference, he has his owners to think about, understandably I don’t
think he’ll be doing Johnson any favours. On the plus side, the forecast is for lots of rain between
now and Saturday, it’s soft now so I think it must be more towards heavy. I think it’s still likely
Johnson will end up on him.November 17, 2016 at 22:11 #1273057Some of my favourite horses in training all heading here, so probably just a sit and enjoy race. Though if i had to pin my colours to one mast; i’d say between Coneygree coming off such a layoff, Cue Card perhaps having something to prove and Seeyouatmidnight needing a career best run; i’d say Silviniaco Conti is the best value at 7’s. He ran a screamer last time out, bumping into a clearly progressive type and Nichols has a habit of bringing his stars back to prominence in their dotage.
Certainly one to savour.
November 18, 2016 at 17:04 #1273138Haven’t heard it reported yet, but it looks from the betting that Menorah is
out of the race. If that’s confirmed, then I’m delighted that Richard Johnson
should be on Coneygree
November 18, 2016 at 17:29 #1273143Dicky rides Coneygree.
Should be a great race allowing that Coneygree comes through it with no physical issues and Cue Card’s breathing op has remained effective.
I can’t have Silv Conti: I think he’s been on the downslope for some time and will end up like Dynaste.
I wish I could grade that Carlisle run of Seeyouatmidnight’s with confidence. If his sole opponent ran to form, it gives SYAM a big chance here, I think, assuming he can reproduce the enthusiasm he showed last time. I got the impression he’d come on a stone at least and he’ll need that and more for tomorrow. I just have a niggling doubt that BDM ran his race. I’m happy to give SYAM the benefit of the doubt for now, but would not risk much. We’ll know a lot more this time tomorrow.
November 18, 2016 at 18:30 #1273153Joe I’m delighted to see “Dicky” taking the reins tomorrow. After picking up a good lift from your and
Bobby’s tip Song Light last week, I stuck it on Coneygree at 11/4 with RaceBets. Actually I’ve got a
lot rotating around Coneygree, he’s the third part of a treble with Ch’Tibello (10/1) and Unowhatimeanharry
(8/1) in the 2 races preceding this race. I’m not usually a multiples better, but I fancy the 3 a lot so I
thought I’d also stick a treble on. If the 1st 2 come up, I’ll be sweating blood by the time this comes up.Even if the 1st 2 don’t oblige, along with botchy I’ve also got him at 66s for the “tripple crown”, so I’m
hoping he’s fully recovered and looks like the horse that ran away with the Gold Cup last year. It’s asking
a lot, but at those odds it’s worth a punt.November 18, 2016 at 19:07 #1273162Coneygree has won first time out every season he’s ran(admittedly none of them were a Betfair), Cue Card has questions to answer after the Charlie Hall and Silvianaco Conti appears to be on the downgrade.
I just can’t see Irish Cavalier back up his win at Wetherby. Which leaves Seeyouatmidnight(apologies to the French runner). The worry is that the only time he ran in a grade 1 he was well beaten.
There is the possibility that Coneygree and SYAM could set the race up for Cue Card but if Coneygree is fit and ready you have to make him favourite.
I’m so looking forward to this race. I’m working til 9pm so fingers crossed I can avoid the result and roll on tomorrow night.
November 18, 2016 at 19:16 #1273164I keep on looking at the form and found it impossible to form a tissue.
Is time catching up with Cue Card?
Is Coneygree really back to his best?
Silviniaco Conti seems on the downgrade? but if the top two are below form could he still win? Does he like being around horses? Seems to run best with a clear view of obsticles.
Seeyouatmidnight is a horse I like and would’ve put him up but the price has gone considering needs to improve enormously if just one of the top three runs to form… And is he as good if taken on for the lead? (Ditto Coneygree).
Was Irish Cavalier flattered by the run of the race at Wetherby? And will he be suited by tomorrow’s test of stamina?
How good is this French thing?Unless there’s something that catches the eye late this looks a race to watch for me.

Victor is going 20-1 any horse for the Triple Crown. Must be worth a couple of quid for a bit of interest.
November 18, 2016 at 19:28 #1273171If Coneygree goes at the same gallop as he did in the Gold Cup no one will be able to take him on for the lead. Then it’s just a question of fitness.

Do you need to have a few quid on anything to have an interest in a race as good as this?

Yep, if they all jump round and Coneygree gets within 10L of the winner they will still be happy i would think. Not saying he wont win mind you.
