Thanks Ben
I’m hoping to see his name and picture in place when I visit the Rowley Mile again tomorrow and drive along the Guineas ‘Hall Of Fame’, stretching back the last 20 years, which leads to the car park.Good luck to us all today.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 30, 2022 at 11:01 #1596288Native is a very worthy favourite but I’ll take him on with 2 checkandchallenge who as others have said could be anything , prob didn’t beat much last time but he did it so effortlessly , as I’ve said I really like Perfect power , rock solid and while more exposed than most he could yet improve for the mile , Fahey isn’t daft he,ll have a good idea he,ll stay
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
April 30, 2022 at 11:39 #1596302Just worries me that Perfect Power is only entered in the Guineas and a 6f race. Early foal, though, which might give him an edge over many of them.
April 30, 2022 at 11:46 #1596306Native Trail 10-1 ew AP, Coroebus 17-2 ew AP. Good luck all.
April 30, 2022 at 12:00 #1596313Not sure this is quite the cakewalk that the odds suggest for Native Trail. Decent form it must be said but there are a few not far away. Appleby second string COROEBUS is less exposed and more attractive at 5/1 in a place.
PERFECT POWER has solid form and is of interest at 20/1 each-way 1/5 odds 4 places. Did enough at Newbury to suggest the mile isn’t beyond him at the top level.
April 30, 2022 at 12:08 #1596316Berkshire Shadow E/W @80s and Point Lonsdale @ 12s (Free bet)
April 30, 2022 at 13:22 #1596343Was very impressed with the way Eydon sprinted clear of Masakele in the Feildon and hope he can reward e/w 1st 4 at 33-1
April 30, 2022 at 13:47 #1596348” Stamina is not a matter of sire’s distance plus dam’s distance divided by two. It’s more whatever relation the horse takes after”
I agree with GT’s thoughts here. And although CC horses can won the guineas (like Galileo Gold) I’d rather back a CT horse. It’s not a matter of public record but you can bet most of those horses get tested as youngsters. How do you know if it’s CT or CC? I would think Derby entry or no Derby entry may be the best way to know.
Also, Frankie has said he plans to get Native Trail out of his comfort zone. He knows the Coolmore two will stay so perhaps he’s going to go off like a cut cat, with Luxembourg to pick up the pieces if he overdoes it.
Considering he may make it a real stamina test I’ve added Royal Patronage 40-1 and Boundless Ocean at 100-1 both ew 4pl to my Point Lonsdale ew bet. Good luck all.
April 30, 2022 at 14:32 #1596356Is it just me but does the ground at Newmarket look awful?
April 30, 2022 at 15:06 #1596363Native is going to have be good to win from stall 15 …
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
April 30, 2022 at 15:15 #1596366I’m confident he’ll bolt up by three lengths or so once that 27ft stride gets deployed. I’ve a sneakng suspicion that Buick might unleash him a bit earlier.
April 30, 2022 at 15:26 #1596367Native Trail has by far the best chance, but imo not as much as betting suggests.
Have backed Coroebus and Luxembourg, both each way.

April 30, 2022 at 15:45 #1596372Well done Mike and everyone else on, those two had too much class for my plodders!
April 30, 2022 at 15:49 #1596373Ta.
Appleby kinda knew. That wry smile i mentioned on his face the other day was spot on.
April 30, 2022 at 15:50 #1596374Anyone got a huge slice of humble pie for me?
