Just noticed Essex are 66/5 so not much luck going there

It’s going to be a shame really as Somerset on any other season would be a lot closer to or top but Surrey have been relentless

Still a few games left mind and Somerset play Surrey next I think

still got to win this one mind you

    now

    23/5 still needing 55 runs….. :rose:

    ******* bollocks, it’s a tie
    no batting points
and wonder if a pitch inspection will lead to any points deduction for excessive spin
fair play to Lancs for staying in the battle

Yes Nathan no favours done for Yorkshire there. Must also give Lancashire a confidence boost after looking like losing for just about all the match

Looking like an innings win for Surrey also and Yorkshire batting well for a change although it could be a featherbed and the match will just peter out

Trescothick has signed a new contract
He must think the current squad isn’t too far away
btw I see Jack Brooks will be playing for Somerset next season

It’s batters you need Nathan looking at the last 2 games – 447 for 36 at the moment. Seem to be helping Yorkshire’s relegation rivals at present although Yorkshire aren’t helping themselves either.

I see Somerset are favourites for the Vitality T20 Blast
yet underdogs for the Semi Final….

Still waiting for a price on Stumpy to win the Mascot race though

A good win for Yorkshire Homer
They have a game in hand too
think everything is in their own hands, regard staying up

It was a good win Nathan. Lancashire must be kicking themselves after been about 60 behind with 9 wickets left in that first innings. As you say relegation is definitely in Yorkshire’s hands now. Looks like Brooks is a good signing for you guys.

Surrey have just captured their 19th outright title second to Yorkshire’s 32 and just 19 more than Somerset ;-)

Will we be saying the same next year or can Somerset break their duck?

I thought Somerset had a very good chance this year Homer. Had them at 14’s
I think they were unfortunate in that Surrey have been relentless and fully deserve the title by steamrolling everything in sight.
I’d still want double figures on Somerset although I’d imaging they will be a single figured price for next season. They have plenty of very good young players who England tend to ignore for one reason or another. Years ago the Taunton wicket was always renowned for being the best batting pitch in the country, the trouble with that is too many games ended in draws and you need plenty of wins to take a title, at least the club after 100+ years has cottoned onto that fact.
Overseas player could be vital, Renshaw made such a good start which propelled us into a decent position. Brooks is a good signing, adding experience to our youthful bowling attack.

My boys look likely potential challengers again this season
Surrey have dropped more points already than the whole of last season (another City/LPool) that was.. FFS
No bets for me this time around just the glory in breaking ones virginity will do nicely
