We’ll see what Somerset batsmen are made of in the 2nd innings, will probably be about 400 odds runs behind. If they can get a draw out of this it will show their championship credentials.

    C’mon the Tykes :D

2 massive away games up next in the CC. Lancs away, just because its Lancashire. They won’t be gifting Yorkshire anything and then 2nd place Notts in Sept. Hopefully if Yorks need a win in their last game then Somerset will be out of it and just keel over. Sorry Nathan

Might be fighting off relegation Homer if the slide continues, still looking a good finish in contention for the top 3 sides.

Two tense final days set up. Notts require 178 to win with 6 wickets left, whilst Yorshire require 8 Lancashire wickets on what appears to be a good batting wicket.

A perfect scenario for a Yorkie. An innings defeat of Lancashire in their backyard and Durham victorious against Yorkshire’s closest rivals, Notts. Also the Warwickshire game is petering out into a tame draw. Still not in the bag but a long way towards another Championship :D

Your chance has arrived Nathan although you are relying on a Draw or a low scoring Yorkshire win in the final game. Somerset should beat already relegated Notts depending on the weather.

Good luck to all teams especially Yorkshire ;-)

It’s hard to believe before the Yorkshire v Somerset game that Somerset were 33/1 for the Championship.
Middlesex are in pole position and unless they get knocked over for a low score in the first innings then Yorkshire will have to take risks which would put the draw under threat.

If anyone deserves to win the Championship other than myself it’s Marcus Trescothick.
All I’m asking for is Somerset to win their match, Yorkshire not to make 350 and Middlesex not to win.
    Fair enough I think.

Yorkshire dug in well to get over 350
Meaning that game will have to be a draw for Somerset to lose the virginity
I’m keeping the faith but deep down I would expect a result at Lords

Well we both lost out Nathan after being set an exact target of 6 an over in 40 overs. Yorkshire needed someone to stay there. Bresnan tried again but wasn’t to be. Yorkshire were never going to bat out for the draw though.

My days of listening to the commentary look over mind you, the Somerset ccc website show ball by ball live, you can’t ask for more than that, just need it to stop bloody raining
