Glad – if memory serves Lanfranco was his only runner in the race and he had won the G1 William Hill Futurity at Doncaster as a 2 yr old.

He finshed 7th in that 2000g before going on to win the Predominate Stakes at Goodwood before finsihing 5th to Slip Anchor (under Cash Asmussen) in the Derby before winning King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot. He then was odds on but finished 3rd in the Princess of Wales’s Stakes to Petoski (who went on to win the King George beating Oh So Sharp). His final run was when finishing 3rd to Oh So Sharp in the St Leger and he ended with a Timeform rating of 123.

All correct, LD, but Lanfranco was never going to be a miler at three. Hence my comment about a “proper” Guineas horse.

Desert Flower looked a million dollars in the paddock this afternoon deciding between herself and Lake Victoria was made easy.

Lovely moment as Will Buick passed his mum, wife and two little boys and turned to give them a wave and acknowledge their good wishes,

Well done all winners and special mention to Green for tipping Flight snd Eezer Simmering and anyone else who tipped them…👏

Here is Desert Flower and Will Buick parading after their win. 🏆

Poking her tongue out at Lake Victoria after the race. 🤣😅

Have a look at the celebratory photo above Liz Price’s report in Paris Turf

    Paris Turf Courses Hippiques International

It’s almost as good as Triptych’s ones ;-)

Thanks Green and Zilzal..just seen that picture you mentioned zilzal and it’s pretty good but a bit too far away. Will Buick was so happy, lovely guy and always acknowledges applause and good wishes with a touch of the cap. What a fantastic few days it’s been for the boys in blue. :good:
Definitely living my best life today Green. :rose: Jac

I’ve always been fond of Will because he looks a lot like my son. I’ve never seen him so happy and animated!

The happiest I’ve ever seen him too Moe in fact There was a real feel good factor about the day amongst the crowd, much more than on 2000 Guineas day. It draws more families in and not so much emphasis on the booze. :good:

Isn’t she Ginge..There was a sharp intake of breath from the crowd around me when she paraded past. I’ve never heard that before.
