“The media are so desperate to get rid of Starmer….”
This isnt about the media and Starmer any more; it’s a damning indictment of the government, or more specifically Labour’s front bench, who are not listening to their core voters or those who are likely, ‘floating voters’.
McSweeney (now gone) allegedly insisted their focus should be on Reform and they ignore the Greens, foolishly.
The huge wake-up call for Labour, even though they won a landslide at the 2024 GE, should’ve been the GE24 result ‘down the road’ from here. In one of the Central Bristol seats Thangam Debbonaire lost a Labour 20k majority (achieved at 2019 GE) to the Greens. The Greens also became the largest party on Bristol Sh#tty Council in last couple of years.
Labour need a policy restructure, not just a change of leader. Which way are they going to lean, leading up to the next GE?
They’re caught in a political pincer attack, Reform to the Right, the Greens to the Left.
Edit: Oh, and this thread is getting kinda mixed up with the Starmer one. Maybe the mods can merge them, somehow.
