It would be interesting if Henderson dropped Simonsig back to 2 miles next time out as he looked all pace at Sandown so I wouldn’t mind betting that he could end up in the Supreme Novices.
I’ve had a little early play on Sous Les Cieux in this race at next years festival at 14/1.
Mullins was previously quoted as saying "I don’t think I’ve another novice like him”.
I was impressed with his run in the Royal Bond Novices hurdle over 2 miles last weekend but he was ridden like a 2m 5F horse in that race. Walsh also reckons that he’ll be even better over further.
Walkon was class over hurdles and I believe, if he still retains the same ability consistently over fences, he’ll be there or thereabouts turning in come next March.
Really good display on his debut over fences last Friday at Exeter and it will be interesting to see if he can follow it up next time out, probably in the "Dipper" on New Years Day @ Cheltenham.
As impressed as I was with Sprinter Sacre’s win today I do have a nagging doubt with him for the Arkle as I think he’s best suited to flat tracks.
He looked the most likely winner two out in last year’s Supreme Novice but didn’t appear to get up the hill, which we know will be no problem at all for both Peddlers Cross & Al Ferof.
Rated 170+ over hurdles I’m pretty happy being sat with a 7/1 ante post voucher for Peddlers Cross!

I enjoy them and they’ve certainly been great betting races for me over the years.
Bottom line is that it’s the jockey’s responsibility to know the course and whilst the turn into the main course is quite sharp, it was pretty obvious which course they should have been on.
I was in the centre of the course watching and couldn’t quite believe my eyes!!

4 – Mille ChiefI am concerned that the racing at Newbury will have a detrimental affect on the card at Ascot on Saturday,
To my eyes many of the horses entered to run at Ascot are more than likely going to run at Newbury instead, meaning their card won’t be as good as it should have been.
Surely, if those horses entered at Ascot had actually ran at Newbury last Saturday then they wouldn’t have also ran at Ascot this Saturday.

Difference of opinions but I’m not telling you to get a grip. I accept your opinion but money/loss of revenue was the reason management acted so irresponsibly today, not pressure/confusion.
The fact there was such confusion says straight away CANCEL RACING.
The above is the post that you made about Newbury Management.
February 13, 2011 at 00:11 in reply to: Newbury- two horse fatalities, electrical problem in paddock #340359Fact – You made the post about "Newbury Management" at 9.48pm this evening. Go and have a look for yourself.
With regard to the 2nd one, I think you’ll find I’ve actually quoted Fist (who actually made the statement) and echoed his sentiments in that you should keep your counsel until ALL of the facts are known.
Picking on the wrong fella here old son!

I’ve merely quoted one of your "many" posts this evening as you need to be very careful with some of the potentially slanderous statements that you are making without knowing the full facts.
I hope you are not trying to say that you didn’t say what was contained in the quote?

All very easy to say sat in your ivory tower but you weren’t at the course so have no idea what thought process the Newbury management went through.
Therefore, until the full investigation has taken place and full findings published, it may be wise to keep "your opinions" to yourself before you end up saying something that you’ll live to regret!!
