I see David Pipe has given his French import Piraya some fancy entries.
He might struggle to make the cut in the Paddy Power, but they clearly think a lot of him.
Natal (2 pts win)
3.00: Faasel (2pts win)
3.35: Turko (2pts win)
Good luck everyone!
Is there no place for the word "jiggy" on ATR?
Was he, indeed? Ah well, that drowns that particular line of conjecture at birth, then.
I trust, though, that NTD has been suitably heartened by the Smith camp’s stated retirement plans for the gelding, as well as their refusal to rush him (the highest-rated horse they’ve ever handled) back into 0-130+ handicaps in which he can no longer get competitive.gc
He’s entered in the big staying hurdle at Wetherby.

Loxias was 3rd in the G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud after beating Millenary in a G2 at the same venue (2003).
Diamond Quest and Rippling Ring both won G1s in South Africa. That’s about as good as his progeny have got.
Hi Insomniac,
So long as you have a Racing Post account, data and a breakdown of his winners can be found here:

It seems like he’s done okay from limited chances. He is the sire of Rippling Ring and a few decent performers in France.

Terribly sad. He kept trying to get up.
I remember Irish Wolf giving Inglis Drever a real scare at Newbury a couple of years ago and he was a really game horse.

I’m hoping to go.
I look forward to seeing you and Azza on parade, Beckster. I bet him and Moscow would still give that young buck Master Minded a good race!
He jumped brilliantly for a novice, very brave.
Paul Nicholls said he’s been schooling the novices more this year, so it must be paying off.
I think the Cheltenham fences are stiff enough to put a big emphasis on jumping. Horses who jump stickily or belt one aren’t going to get away with it – and this is how it should be.
Even without the 2nd last as it is currently, this would be true. It often catches out horses who jump it perfectly which is surely against the spirit of our game. Enough races (and lives) have been lost because of this silly tradition.
Shame about Razor Royale falling at the 2nd last, would’ve been interesting to see what Ring The Boss had left.
5 fallers at the 2nd last today, by the way. Has re-sighting it worked?
Many thanks, Irish Stamp.
