Ran tonight @ Brighton and finishing an agonising 2nd!! he ran on coming down the hill and i was shouting at the tv for him to get his nose in front. I really admire this horse, still wants to knuckle down and give his all. Hope he gets the win soon though!!!

Does anybody know of the oldest runner to have raced? does the tatling come close?

Looked the best in running at bath the other night there back on turf but couldnt get a clear run.I hope he picks up a small race soon and can finally retire away to a field somewhere which is more than he deserves. 14 years young and still getting right in and about it…..ANIMAL!! :D

I hope he’s ok too and returns soon. It was left to Matt Chapman to commentate on ATR and he was woeful. Good presenter, Horrible commentator!!!

Nice name – shame about the horse!

Gone with the beast almost every time since its last Plumpton victory (he likes it there and Fontwell – good ground, mind :D )

Seems to give his fences plenty of air and has a rather deceiving stride that creates the illusion of momentum….

Do you have an affiliation with the horse, SV, or is it just masochism? :D

No affiliation with the horse, just won a fair few quid on it in the past. Not the best horse in the world but big heart and stays all day long. One Sunday at Fontwell, he looked beat 3 out but plugged on and won!!

It was either Strolling Vagabond or Jonny Ebeneezer and someone had already stolen that username!!!

It will be interesting to see how they fare this season away from Dubai…

    Interesting indeed.

Are you implying then that Gladatorius has been doped up aswell then as per his poor run today?

Matt Chapman is a legend. Always full of enthusiasm.

    like his american commentary aswell:

We’re now off to (Sings the Indiana Jones Theme tune)…. Indiana Downs!

    :D

Did you see the last at Ponty, horse came through the stalls about a second before everyone else and there was no stewards enquiry…
