Dougie Fraser missing. Worrying stuff by the sounds of it. Hope he’s ok.

June 6, 2010 at 19:30 #299167I hope he’s ok too and returns soon. It was left to Matt Chapman to commentate on ATR and he was woeful. Good presenter, Horrible commentator!!!
June 6, 2010 at 20:15 #299183As it says in the report, totally out of character.
A really nice guy and I hope he turns up soon.
June 6, 2010 at 21:28 #299194Hope things turn out OK, he seems like a good guy. I was impressed by his analysis at Newmarket the other week, Sad news
June 7, 2010 at 15:13 #299311Gosh, well that explains the Hexham stand-ins, but as Cav says it’s a worrying development above and beyond that.
Doug’s well liked among his peers both at Racetech (I seem to remember him being one of the six or seven colleagues who called them home at Graham Goode’s 40th anniversary meeting at Worcester in 2008), and Independent Commentary Services, and I’m sure there’ll be a lot of people attached to each organisation deeply concerned as to his wellbeing. Here’s hoping for good news soon.

Yeah this is very worrying, just seen this on atr, let’s
hope he’s ok. Doesn’t sound good.June 7, 2010 at 16:25 #299329Is there any news on the situation yet? It’s worrying when anyone disappears, but it’s worse when nothing is heard from him.
June 7, 2010 at 16:33 #299332According to Racing Post website the police have asked
for help in finding him :http://www.racingpost.com/news/horse-racing/doug-fraser-police-appeal-for-help-to-find-missing-commentator-fraser/726138/latest/
June 7, 2010 at 19:13 #299380Oh my god I had no idea that Doug had disappeared, I just thought he was ill or something for why he didn’t commentate at Hexham. Really hope that’s a positive outcome to this story but it does seem rather ominous.
June 7, 2010 at 19:35 #299389What an awful thing to happen. It doesn’t sound good does it? I do hope he’s OK.
June 7, 2010 at 19:45 #299392He hasn’t been seen since Thursday and no one has heard from him. It’s really worrying.

Where are you getting this from Peter? I’ve been googling
the Internet as it’s a story that’s got me really concerned and
all I’m finding is similar stuff to that written in today’s Post. This is as you say very worrying.
June 7, 2010 at 22:00 #299429Racing Post website…
Nobody has been able to contact Fraser since last Thursday, and the alarm was raised following his unexplained failure to turn up to commentate at Hexham on Saturday.
I always fear the worst in these sorts of situations
June 7, 2010 at 23:52 #299440This is such a strange and worrying story and by the sounds of it completely out of character (making it even more worrying).
I can only hope we hear of a happy outcome although i too unfortunately fear the worst.
June 8, 2010 at 00:02 #299443Sadly, 5 days is too long for no update in these type of things. I fear the worst, hopefully it works out well.
June 8, 2010 at 08:40 #299457Any news?
