Even though he doesn’t have that many miles on the clock its difficult to see him improving next season as a ten year old. Strike while the iron is hot and go for the GC now.

Hear hear Ian. I probably look forward to the King George more than any other race throughout the season. It certainly wouldn’t be Christmas without it.

Two of Venetias stars for me.

    Lady Rebecca and Teeton Mill.

She was an absolute star and he could have been anything had injury not cut his career short.

    Very disappointing day all round.

Very interesting to see two completely at odds viewpoints from NH and PN. I know which camp i am in. I love the Festival but its not all about four days in march we all know that surely? These racecourses with big saturday headline meetings must be furious.

Just to throw this out there i do wonder if Nicky has an eye on retiring? No idea how many horses he has lost to injuries on the track over the years but i would imagine that over the years they start to weigh on you and maybe it can cloud his feelings on running or not running? I cant believe that Paul Nicholls doesn’t care about horse welfare so with that in mind to see such different viewpoints from two well respected experts of their craft is puzzling.

Would it be an over reaction to suggest the police ought to be looking at that?

If it was this country they surely would? Im just thinking back to the recent Ronaldo slapping the mobile phone thing.

A deliberate act that could have caused serious bodily harm or even death.

Rishis style of interviewing seems to either be the inane – “how does it feel…. Etc etc”

Or the line of questioning specifically designed to elicit tears from the interviewee.

He did it years ago when asking Darren Clarke just five minutes after winning the Open how his recently passed wife would have felt about his win and he’s been making it his calling card ever since. Nothing like spoiling a victory moment by bringing people back to earth with a bump!

I should have added I dont mind him at all. Its just the dullness of the idea thats rather tiresome, instead of trying to be even slightly innovative about increasing footfall.

My favourite one at the moment is Fircombe Hall. Pretty sure that is meant to sound like something else.
