I didn’t dare suggest anything along those lines Green. But now you come to mention it…
Apologies 10 days away
Slightly off topic but ive been waiting for it seems like weeks now for the finalists on Pointless to pick “decades of grand national winners” as their jackpot question. The question keeps popping up on the board and I am trying to spot the racing fans amongst the contestants. I’m assuming when somebody with some knowledge does go for it a “pointless answer” will be assured.
When questioned on what topic they would like to see come up most people seem to reply “football or Harry Potter”…..
I should have added the horses name Catchin’ Time.
Mine was less than 3 months ago. One of the online tipsters who I follow from a distance had put up a horse to win at Wincanton at the huge price of 125/1.
I dont normally get involved but his blurb was most convincing.
Decided to have a mad few quid ew and got on with what was a busy day.
Completely forgot about it until i checked my account later in the evening. Was surprised to see several more pounds in it than there had been that morning.Won easily at 125/1. Madness!
So pleased for Adam Kirby. Always thought a lot of him. Such a brave move going for the rail. Interesting that the gap closed almost as soon as it appeared. Well done to all who backed him
Good luck Darren. Impressive performance that today
Thanks to everyone who tipped up the winner ive done alright off you all there.
He did pretty well there didnt he? Well done to him and Bob & Co.

Kimberlite CandyI’m not sure how ITV keep managing to pull off showing the big Irish meetings but Racing TV must be absolutely seething about it. Makes their “exclusive” rights look a little less “exclusive”. I’m assuming that it can only be a matter of time before SSR (at the races as was) get the contract back.
I’m not sure the Irish courses have ever been entirely happy playing second fiddle to UK tracks on packed schedule days.Just seen it on RP news.
A fantastic servant to the sport and brilliant jockey. Surprised he didn’t have a last blow out at Aintree but hope he enjoys his retirement.
Just seemed to appear from nowhere turning in. Super ride.
What a performance. As good a grade 1 demolition as I’ve ever seen at the Festival. My bets were done early on but a joy to watch.
Thanks Botchy i had a bit ew based on your post. What a thrill.
Ah well at least Ed and Fitzy will have to find something else to ramble on about on ad nauseam on Wednesday now Altior is a non runner…..
Listening to the far superior commentary of Simon Holt calling home Denman in his second Hennesey. I watch and listen to this on a weekly basis.
